Nice game to watch. Interestingly Liverpool are switching between a 352 in possession to a 451 when out of it. Gerrard is moving into the space between Toure and Skrtel and Henderson is making options ahead of them. The result is quite often they get Coutinho or Sterling in space running through the centre.

West Brom though are playing some decent stuff of their own, you can see Mel has them keeping the ball on the deck and retaining possession from the back to the front. Impressed with them so far, makes me wonder why we have trouble doing it so often.
 
They can't penetrate the back line, but their play up to that point is decent. A lot of quick passing.
 
That was better. Good effort.

Just thinking about this gap that will open between us and Liverpool. At least we don't have to play United or City agin this season where as Liverpool do.
 
Interesting test coming up in the 15/20mins.

Game standing at 1-1, can they show enough skill and desire to grab a vital win. Sadly we came up short, lets see if this Liverpool team do as well.
My head tells me they will grab a late winner..no doubt from a dubious Gerrard pen though

This is the thing and why they are better than us. They can score. I mega they have so much goal threat. West brom will need to play well to see it out
 
Not sure how anyone could argue that Sterling has not been player at a higher level than Lennon this season. Admittedly he is performing in a unit which has a clearer idea about how they want to play. And better forwards to service.

He's arguable been better than Coutinho recently
