I'm too scared to start an OMT (not sure who or what to sacrifice to the OMT gods). What I will say is that we could play a 343 again with Aurier, Dembele and Son stepping in and arguably look better than we did today. 4231 is probably off the table unless Poch does something mad like playing Kane at #10 off of Llorente.

I think the back 3 will be the foundation for the season. Agree with the 3 players you said will come in (for Trippier, Sissoko and the suspended Dele).
 
Always stirs something down deep inside when an OMT gets started this way. Good form @Cochise; we're all watching and everything now relies on you.

No CBs on the bench scares me. I know we could move Dier into defense if necessary, but I'd still rather have Foyth in there over KWP just to ease that concern. Other than that, I'm in full agreement with that team.

Very excited about this match! Can't wait to play a big gun in the CL again, especially at the back of a 3-0 win. Hopefully we'll see Aurier feature, he'll be bombing down the right flank. Too bad about Dele, but we've got the personell to cover up for him. Can't bloody wait! I think we'll win. :D

How do you know that Foyth is ready to step into CL football? Have you seen him play? I know he's the next available CB however he realistically wouldn't ever be brought on, isn't it better to have KWP on the bench? I know KWP is also at a similar stage in his career however he's familiar with the system, team-mates etc so would be more likely to be used than Foyth

Bench looks a bit thread-bare.....but if we're missing Rose, Wanyama, Lamela, Sissoko, Janssen (not eligible), Dele suspended and I'm assuming GKN cant make it, then I'm not sure who I'm missing. I'm assuming Foyth isn't familiar enough with the way we play etc so not point putting him on the bench

Squad feels a bit thin in CM after the Gomes thing didn't happen

We've got options there. Dier could drop back or Davies could go into the back three or we can switch to a back four.

If you are selecting Oakley-Boothe and Edwards, the argument against Foyth don't seem as strong.

I think Trippier will get the nod over Aurier for another game or two. Otherwise the team picks itself. Looking forward to seeing a freshly picked Dembele dominate central midfield.

Its very different and it wouldn't be TOB or ME ahead of Foyth given the very different positions. I don't see that we have many other attacking options available so TOB or ME seem like they would need to be involved. At the back, there are a few more options as you yourself said in a separate post which would mean that Foyth isn't needed, and its probably more risky playing a rookie CB with limited/no experience of our system compared to playing a rookie in attacking positions. If we get an injury at CB, we'd either go 4-2-3-1 or move Dier or Davies to CB
