Mystery shopper work?

I'm looking for a job to get me through the summer till the uni term starts up again. I'm looking for something which you don't have to be to qualified to do and which I wouldn't need to be expected to be commited to for longer than the summer.

Most of the jobs I find are either catalouge sales things or mystery shopper job. Does anyone by any chance have any experience in doing this? I've heard these companies can be quite dodgy about payments for work you've done.

Any advice would be gladly appreciated.

My Mrs has done some Mystery shopping before. Easy money but its not a lot. She has never had a problem with payment.

I always used to do gardening or building work. Best alternative amongst mates was medical trials, which was very lucrative too.

I used to work in a sports store when I was in sixth form and Uni. Mystery shoppers are the equivalent of the teacher's pet, telling tales on others.

Apparently if you are a mystery shopper at Subway you only get reimbursed what you spend
