Meggings: Are these REALLY catching on over there?

Without first clicking on the link, I have absolutely no idea what Meggings are, I've never heard of them before.

I'm glad they haven't. But knowing some of the chino van wearing tossers walking the streets now, I wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Eloquently put young PLJ, my son is a CVWW and would almost certainly wear them if his peer group demand it.

From the article "So, perhaps we'll never really understand where it all started. But from skinny jeans to meggings, the only thing we know for sure (but not really) is that the world's collective sperm count is slowly being compromised in the name of men's fashion."

You can add blokes who wear onesies to that as well.

Darwin in action.

I think billy connolly wears them. I have worn tights and stockings on a semi regular basis i enjoy the feel of them next to my skin it makes me feel sensual and sexy but i always have jeans on over the top.

Don't forget the increase in the number of people riding bikes after Wiggins won le Tour :)

I hate the chino/van combination. What happened to the days where you used to see a lot of different youth movements and fashions around? Seems like everyone wears the same stuff nowadays, and just copies whatever Topman say is in this season. I've got a pair of canvas trainers that I bought before the whole Van phenomenon came about, I love them actually (still). I use them for the gym now but they're too battered to wear out for fashion purposes.

Oh and onesies tinkle me off as well. My mum is getting one from her friend for Christmas apparently, she said to me "why haven't you got a onesie, they're fashionable with men now." The thing is, she's half right. They're not 'fashionable' per se but a lot of blokes have them. My mate has five. FIVE. What's up with that? I'm not buying one, I prefer to wonder round in my shorts for comfort.

There's something very wrong with a bloke who wears a babygro. fudging infantalismists.

I blame Apple culture, The concept that millions of people buy the same fudging phone, in the same colour, with the same stupid white headphones and somehow it's cool ...

I don't use the drive the same car as my parents, or the 16 year old girl next door, nor do I think wearing brick from the 80's is cool (I lived through it once), and I'm not going to wear girl's brick.

And using products and working in retail is just a CVWW's way of saying you work in a shop and wear make up.

first i thought MEGGINGS - NO FOOTBALL IN RANDOM (Megs!)

then i open the link...........i have now stopped tinkling myself laughing

on the basis that if someone was wearing those on a football pitch they would be the first to receive a "marker" - does the same apply walking down the street?
