Yeah, I thought he worked really hard, and ultimately got a great assist. I though this movement helped out attack and controlled possession a lot. Would have been higher if he didn't keep giving the ball away.
What is funny is Gutterboys 6 for Kane
Kane was brilliant, almost perfect in his general play, never giving the ball away, came deep, drifted, always moving, a few chances a great goal. 6.

Vorm - nothing to do, really.
Paulinho - Decent performance. Amazed how he's getting a man of the match award for that, though - yes, he was better than he usually is, but he still gave the ball away a lot, made poor decisions and struggled to adapt to the game - hardly spectacular.
Kane - Deserves more assists than he's actually got - the halfway-line reverse pass he played in the first half was sublime, and he does that about once a match on average, only for his team-mates to let him down.
Overall - solid performance - poor first half, but good second half, so overall, competent and deserving of a 6/6.5 on 10.

Sorry mate, but posts like this really make my blood boil.
Kane was on his own in acres of space; if Lamela even fudged up that, he would have needed shooting.
Even then, if you saw thew replay Kane needed to check back because Lamela delays his pass even though Kane is totally unmarked.
But then, I guess your flag is nailed to the Lamela mast and, come hell and highwater, you will not take it down.

Kane didn't do much, but didn't get much service (mainly because Eriksen and Lamela weren't good). Not his fault, but he didn't influence the match

I don't think Lamela is amazing or that we can't do better. But he is a breath of fresh air after the atrocious Townsend. Lamela is the best option we have at the minute, it's clear to see. And our team game improves ten fold too. Not a coincidence we've had such an awful run of games (post Arsenal) as soon as Townsend comes back in the team.

As someone said in the game thread, in the first half we playing with 10 against 12 because every ball Lamela got ended up in a Saudi Sportswashing Machine player's feet.
But with you, it's anyone except you pet hate Townsend, isn't it?
Kane led the line well and was constantly a threat - played very well.
I don't like paulinho and I do think MOTM is a very weird decision as he wasn't close but compared to his usual impact, he did well and was prob a 6/10 - give him some credit

I hate mason too
Lamela was frustrating me as well in the first half. Am I saying he's a world beater? Am I saying he's amazing? No, I'm saying he's the best option we have and it was nice to see us improve with him in the team. Mainly for his work rate and movement, add in improved passing and decision making and we could have some player.

Eriksen - 6 improved after the freekick but we need an addition creative source

Eh? No clue where you get your ideas from, but I haven't spacegoated Paulinho as far as I can recall, beyond freely admitting that he's been poor for most of the time he's been at the club. Most of the time I've avoided commenting on him overall, since the 'this is what happens when we spend money' arguments would likely have emerged as soon as I did.
Not really sure what your problems are, although given that you seem to be at least as unhesitatingly critical of Lamela as you accuse me of being of Paulinho, perhaps 'projecting your own insecurities outward' is one of them.
