Kids football

Just seen on BBC news that Lincolnshire FA have made all kids teams have a barrier a metre from touchline at games to stop parents and friends entering the pitch and have respect stewards in attendance. It's a sad thing but reflects the idiots who attend these games.

Parents shouldn't be standing on the side line.

Always found it strange when I was a kid if I was running down the wing having coaches, subs and spectators so close to me. Coaches should be a meter back, anyone watching further back than that.

It's been like that everywhere else for about 10 years!

We’ve had respect lines for years,

As a coach I’d make a slight change, rather than one meter, it should be one mile.

Feel sorry for kids, my son and his best mate stopped playing because of all the problems and that was almost 40 years ago, but at least it gave us the opportunity to go to Spurs games and him to concentrate on his cricket.
