Job Search

Friend of mine looking for work

Part time
Full time
Temp

Whatever

Very annoying searching online as its all through agencies.

Anyone know any websites that have direct jobs with companies?

If you want part time work or temp work then either use the job center direct or go around asking in person.

If you want full time work in terms of a career then the best method is obviously recomendation otherwise contact a company directly. That is how I secured my last two jobs. I rang up and asked while most people were going round the usual method of emailing, applying online etc.

Applying online seems to be the most common method today but what people forget it's also the easier way to reject an applicant and also it's a slow process.

By speaking in person allows you to express some of your personality to the potential employer and it's harder for them to decline an application (where as online its a simple click of a button). It also saves them a shed load of money.

My two cents from experience.

Yeh I've told her that. I'm the same as u. I hate using agencies etc.

She has been using job centre site. Just wondered if there were others.

Thanks

Haha yeh it's a her. She would do great on myfreecams. Lol

Just basic admin work. She is a student. She is off for 5 months so looking for extra work.

I have also recently lost my job (poor time too, right?) and I am too looking for work. I'd rather get an office job as I am more suited to that with having knowledge of most computer programs and being able to type over 100 words per minute etc.

I hate going through these agencies because they either take weeks to reply or just tell you that you are unsuccessful. What is the best way to get work?
