Suggested Grealish a couple of weeks ago and got completely shut down on here. It’s pretty obvious he’s going to be a star somewhere but because he’s made some mistakes as a youngster he’s not good enough for the mighty Spurs....

No idea, but If you’re implying no big clubs will come in for him I’d be inclined to agree, but we shop in a different way to them. He has massive potential, only thing is he’s a Brummie lad and not sure if he’d really want to leave the area. There will definitely be teams enquiringly about him this summer though...

I agree that he has a lot of talent, he looks like a player who is going to squander it to me

You were not shut down because people believe he is not good enough for Spurs.....iirc it was because you suggested him as a replacement for Dembele. As was pointed out then, they are different players

Also i think if someone like Redknapp was in charge he would be all over Grealish and the lad would be at Spurs in no time. Redknapp likes that type of maverick player. But Poch? Would Grealish knuckle down and obey Poch's demands, workrate, playing for the team?

Why? Because he’s made some mistakes? He doesn’t come across as an idiot in interviews. He doesn’t appear any worse than Dele to me...

I wasn’t suggesting him as someone who’s the same as Dembele, we are unlikely to find another Dembele. I think he’s more a Modric type, picks the ball up deep and goes past players, good passer. It’s up to him how good he ends up being, but if Poch could get in his ear he would be seriously good. A risk worth taking IMO he wouldn’t cost the earth, but I know I’m fighting a losing battle on this one...

Mainly because he hasn't really progressed as a player. This summer is crucial for him now but if he moves to the PL, it is most likely to be with a side fighting relegation.

Progressed how? In terms of the level he’s playing at ie The Championship? If you mean performances I’d have to disagree. I agree if he moves to PL it would most likely be a mid table or lower team but I honestly think if he came here he wouldn’t look out of place. The guy is so gifted, and it’s not like he doesn’t put in a shift on the pitch....

I think that he showed quite a lot of promise when he broke into the Villa side and has plateaued. I think that he'd have the same problem that Sigurdsson had with us, not enough game time to find form.

Hmm we don’t have a lot of creativity in CM, I think he actually would get a lot of game time if he proved himself. But I fully appreciate that this isn’t going to happen so pointless me labouring the point. But I do really think he will be a hit in the PL...

That's not really his position though. It's more likely that he'd be competing with Eriksen and Alli for a place.

He plays Cm...but he drives forward with the ball into attacking areas. He picks the ball up in deep positions, he doesn’t play AM?

Do see why we would, a half decent player who catches the eye now and again, media seem to love though.
So grealish, Shaqiri and arnautovic or
Bale, martial and pulisic. Think there's a split in the fans asperations for where the club should be.
 
I enjoyed his little Ricky Villa cameo yesterday. If that had been a goal it would have attracted some attention.
