GHod damned Sunday matches!

So, fact of the matter is, we have only played 3 stinking games on a Saturday so far this season! 3! And today even more fixture changes announced for TV coverage, so even more Sunday matches. Goddamnit. To add to that, we've only had ONE, a single match start at 1500 on a Saturday this season - home to Norwich. We really need to get into the Champions League.

Ill be honest I do enjoy Sunday games MUCH more than a game on Saturday.

Sunday is a day where not much happens so spurs playing is awesome. Ill be honest with Saturday it becomes an interference, as the whole day has to revolve around that one game therefore cant run errands, or it becomes difficult to go out etc.

I think that the atmosphere is flatter for Sunday games, probably because people are less likely to get tanked up when they have work the next day

Thats true (or perhaps its just the football being served up currently ;)). I guess I like Thursday games too cos not much happens on a Thursday. Its like something to look forward to. Im sure the traditionalists out there love the 3pm Saturday games.

I miss my lunchtime starts on the booze and post match shoreditch hairy square sessions...

You dont get that shiz on a sunday

If we had big fixtures on Thursday nights, the Sunday games could almost be accepted. But, I'm not happy having home to FC Sheriff meaning that our game is set back a day.

Saturday means football for me, it's when the games should be.

I'm a traditionalist and for me football should be 3pm Saturday afternoon.

Saying that, from a travelling point of view, 12.45pm Sat, Sun 12noon or 1.30pm I can live with as it means getting back home a few hours earlier, and no hanging around after being 'kicked out' out of the hotel rooms at noon.
Sunday 4pm games should be banned though!!

I agree. Early Sundays are good for me travelling. Saturdays mean a night in London, so win win. Sunday 4 o'clock's mean having to take a day off work on Monday.

The thought of losing on Sunday then having to go to work the next day is never a good feeling.

Always playing catch up to the teams who play on Saturdays.

The atmosphere is certainly more subdued on a sunday, for me im thinking about the week ahead on a sunday and how much i have to do. Saturday just has a more fun vibe to it. Also for fans outside of London it is difficult with Sunday games anyone who has ever travelled on Southern trains will know what i am talking about.

Given that we are in the EL, the only way to get more Saturday games would have been playing the top PL sides in the EL weeks. Not something I'd prefer.

Going to the pub on a Saturday, watching Spurs, having a few pints, singing a few songs, was such a ritual for a long time. It's true that nothing much happens on a Sunday anyway, but there's just a different kind of buzz around a Saturday night of football. If you lose, you can always drown your sorrows, and if you win, you can celebrate! And there are other games being played too, there's excitement in the air. It's definitely something special compared to the dull Sunday match.

But oh well, first world problems. :-"

I have a positive about Sunday matches.
On Sundays the pub, where I'm watching Spurs playing 3rd season in a row sells every sort of beer/cider for ~4£ instead of ~£6.

Hope we'll continue qualifying to Europe League.
(not)

I prefer Sunday games to be honest. I'm not much of a drinker so for me the joy of going to the football is watching the match, not getting boozed up, so the whole 'not being able to get tanked up' thing makes no sense to me. I play football myself on Saturday afternoons, so I'm much happier when we play on a Sunday because I can actually get to see the games.
