Which of the following players was labelled "Sicknote" by our un-bias press

A. 16 years 471 games
B. 10 years 154 games
C. 8 years 114 games

Funny if you play for some teams you don't get rubbished.

Not through injury (makes it worse reading) Bogarte for Chelsea... 2000-2004 - 9 games...

201 appearances in a 16 year senior career...

His pay per game was by far the best ever back then. It might still be one of the best.

I have mixed feelings on his position. Clubs can be quite ruthless in how they cut players, so players insisting their contracts are honoured is not unreasonable. On the other hand, how can a professional footballer who is already a multi-millionaire be disinterested in the performance. It's a short career, make a statement, especially when already financially secure.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto provided an alternative view. He said he played for the money and didn't enjoy the game the way he did when playing with his mates. But he was always a professional. Maybe My feelings aren't that mixed after all.
