Daniel Levy - Chairman

I don't doubt those were factors, but you've completely failed to mention Poch himself. In his press conferences he was coming out with more and more ridiculous things, and physically he looked a shadow of himself.

He was cooked, and whoever you want to blame for him reaching that state is up to you (I personally have no idea) but he himself looked like he had reached the end of the road, and so did the team who were serving up some worse performances than we've seen lately and not the same level of injuries to provide at least some form of excuse.....

I believe Levy and others are the reasons behind that. Another criticism of Levy in this specific case was how he handled that summer.
If all you say is true he should've been let go. Why wasn't he? I have my views...

Yet many fans and the THFC board thought he should go. I didn’t think he should. But there has to be a reason for those thinking a change was needed. If it wasn’t our poor performances and results - which was due to not strengthening our team - what was it!?
LOL…. A minority of knee-jerkers from the fan base, unfortunately joined by our CEO who had always had a hard on for Mourinho. A decision since proven to be a really poor one

But as has already been pointed out Ndombele was actually playing well and the other two arrived injured and barely got a run to show what they could do. Any way you skin it using the transfers as justification has no sense.

Any way you skin it: our performances were off we weren’t playing well, and our new signings were not making a difference. When you spend that kind of money you expect something. At least the board did.

What do you think caused Pochs sacking?

I think it is fair to say that our performances on the pitch were subpar? We weren’t doing well. You seem to have forgotten the core issue. As though Rasputin-Mourinho just winked at Levy in isolation without any issues with the team. That isn’t a fair representation imo.

Why why why do we go back to Poch sacking guys
It’s draining surely???
It’s the same old same old. Endless speculation and guess work
He was sacked when some didn’t what him sacked and others did
We have had how many managers since.. too many
And it hasn’t got much better or worse
Let’s move on
He has

By that table if anyone thought Poch deserved sacking they should be apoplectic about Ange - and he doesn't have 4 years of good will in the bank either...

Football seasons take the form of calendar years now do they?!?

You like to be snarky mate but you know exactly what the table shows

Poch we fired because of the run of results from the season before in the league
Ange, if he gets fired is because of the run of form (similarly) from 2nd half of last season.

And both points haul vs the average over a 16 year period show the why

The season when he got no signings at all and yet still took us all the way to the CL final and still managed to take us to the chairman’s dreamland of a 4th place finish? What an absolute failure that season was eh?

You seriously wonder why our second half of that season in the league was so ‘bad’ in terms of results? (though we can only dream of getting 4th place these days!)

That average is also hilarious…. Only as high as it is due to Pochettino.

Is it the same people using that table that laughed at the table where our position was considerably better or two seasons, possibly even best I'm the league?
End of the day none of those tables matter, the season is over 38 games starting in August and ending in May.

I'm not even sure what you are trying to say

Managers get fired on form, in season or over two seasons (in a calendar year), makes no difference

The question is more why did we choose to go with Mourinho rather than give Poch time to turn it around - and thats because Mourinho didn't want a costly and painful rebuild so was therefore the cheaper option.

Nah, you can question what came next, but Poch was done, he wasn't even trying to stay in the job, he'd have taken us down had we let him, it was worse than where we are now.
