Daniel Levy - Chairman

I think perhaps people are answering a different question of 'do they like their owners'.

Those in the top half tend to be the clubs who's owners pump in their own money to make the club more competitive than it would be otherwise. Those in the bottom half are those who's owners don't do this.

A majority of the bottom half clubs are actually probably better run than most of the top half but don't enjoy the outside investment that tends to bring success these days.

The outlier is Saudi Sportswashing Machine, where their owner has actually pumped in quite a bit of his own money but the fans dislike him anyway.

Harry didn't really crumble he just took his eye of the ball due to the England position. As soon as he lost out on that job he started winning again.

He was sacked because Levy disliked his disloyalty not because he was unsuccessful.
Didn’t Redknapp get sacked a week or so after admitting that he would have taken the England job if offered live on tv as a pundit?

Not sure if i was imagining that but pretty sure that was what happened.

I wish he would Levy would keep away from transfers and sack Hitchin and bring in that chap from Lille.

The managers are doing the job with one hand tied behind their backs.
Sack Hitchin what effect? He's just the chief scout. The mode of operation comes from higher than his office. Sack him and replace him with whomever you please Levy is still has the ultimate say so and I don't see that ever changing.

He's the Technical Performance Director, DoF basically. I think that you are right that anyone else coming in would have to work with Levy and within the constraints of our budget but Levy has allowed some DoFs freedom before (Arnesen, Comolli and Baldini). He's also failed to back some in that position before Mitchell being the most obvious example.

Mitchell was a charlatan and a crook, suggested players already in the PL and wanted a cut of any future transfer fees.

You make a very valid point.

Any at Leipzig?

How come he moved from there so soon?

Really?

He absolutely nailed it at Leipzig. I guess he is ambitious, do you consider ambition a bad thing. Seem to remember you have a problem with Rodgers as well.

Mitchell and Rodgers right now and we would be clear in second.

It’s a genuine question, who did he unearth for them?

And he really wasn’t there very long.

What did he nail at Leipzig?
They haven’t got worst since he left and haven’t got better either
They finish pretty much where their spend should be

He kept the team competing and refreshing the squad, the club were desperate to hang on to him from articles I read but he said he wanted to try a new league to continue his development and expand his knowledge.

If he fails at Monaco I will say but I find him very interesting and admire how he tries new leagues.

But they haven’t got better or worst
Before or after him
I mean they spend the third most and end up third ish
I do agree trying different leagues is a good thing

Hopefully one thing has become crystal clear to the Chairman this season. Winning football matches isn't really down to the manager, it is down to the quality of the players. Better players will win you more games...I wonder if the Chairman will also be sent a warning shot by the number of people who don't renew their ST?
