Lloris - 4. Not his fault, but he walked off having conceded four, two of which went through his legs. Not exactly blameless.
Naughton - 6. Did little wrong. MOTM for the first time in his Spurs career to date.
Daws - 3.5. You play him against Hazard, Eto'o, Oscar and co., and you're going to have a bad time. Slow and sloppy with his short passing, but not totally awful.
Kaboul - 3. Was coolly tying his laces when Jan was desperately searching for passing options to his left in the build-up to the first goal. Unforgivable.
Verts - 3.5. Unfortunate slip, but was shaky throughout regardless.
Walker - 3. Did well first half ,went to **** in the second. Blaming his team-mates for his own stupendous error was the icing on the cake of failure today.
Bentaleb - 4.5. Acquitted himself decently (some sloppy passes), but has a lot to learn yet.
Sandro - 4.5. Tried his heart out, was let down by his rustiness and his mentally-useless team-mates.
Siggy - 5. I think I saw him touch the ball twice in ninety minutes.
Lennon - 4.5. Wasn't great in the free role, but pressed well enough for the first forty-five.
Ade - 5. Did little of note, but didn't **** up either, so neutral score seems about right.
Subs:
Paulinho - N/A. Game was out beyond our reach he came on.
Fryers - N/A. See above.
Tim - 7. His unusual team selection worked very well in the first half. What happened after that was not his fault, and he shouldn't be blamed for this.
Special mentions:
Daniel Levy - Apart from the players, there really isn't a totem pole that I can rage against at the club. But I can't help but feel that somehow, he deserves more blame for the state we're in. Not sure how, but he does.
Franco Baldini - not one of his seven signings started today. Not sure what that says about his performance so far.
Away fans - made the best of a bad situation. Heard them throughout the first 80-odd minutes, which is very decent as far as our support this season is concerned. Well done.
