Need to know how to make the stuff that has the same consistency as in a Mars Bar, Cadbury Caramel, Rolo etc.

Anyone got a recipe. Is there something out of a jar. We just got an ice cream maker (a year ago actually), and I prefer homemade, using things like Chanel Island Dairy Milk etc. Anyway I have this great Chocolate Ice Cream but want add a Caramel swirl to it. Anyone know of a recipe for the Caramel. I look on google and none actually say the consistency, don't want rock hard, don't want sauce.

The above has a basic recipe and talks about flavour variations and how to go for sauce or harder texture. Could be a good place to start if you want to experiment.

after a search, quite a few people have said that Kraft Caramels are pretty much the same as what's in a Mars.

Found this on youtube, some bint using them with apples, the texture I want is before adding to the apple tray. The caramel almost folds.

This is bugging me now. I'm thinking of a movie where the character says 'caramel' but has an emphasis on the 'el', as in rhymes with "George Pell", not "shopping mall"

Thinking its Samuel L Jackson or something like that.
