It is world gold for Mo Farah, but it didn't come easy. Ibrahim Jeilan loomed on his shoulder as he did in 2011. This time though the Ethiopian was left straining without success. The small gap between him and the Briton would not close and Farah finishes in 27.21 after a 54-second final lap.
 
Except when the Diamond League meeting are a complete sell out every year.. including the recent event at the Olympic stadium! ;)
 
Let's face it, the Olympics are viewed as the absolute pinnacle. Plus they were never going to sell this out in Russia, brown envelopes galore.

Yep, hard lesson learned hey!!

Although, there's a great pic of them crossing the line and you can see how hard Christine Ohuruogu was fighting to pip her to the line..
