Less than Postecoglou- look how that's worked in his favour

Most of them are out a job, not really worked in their favour either.
I'm not saying ange is a roaring success, but is it wise to throw him out for someone with less of a cv?
Are we not likely to be back here in 12 months time?
Ange out fine, but let's kid ourselves that potter, iriola or any other manager at that level is going to come in and get us where a lot of our fans seem to think we should be.

Because THIS is what Ange Postecoglu does. WE knew it when we got him. Munn knew it. Lange knew it. The club knew it. He told everyone, and has been telling everyone, this is what he does, end of. IF we expect anything different, it's like committing to a week of the same aggressive chicken curry, getting the bricks on Wednesday, and instantly wanting that curry to become a chicken cacciatore! We've committed to it, so we're going to have to develop the intestinal fortitude to DEAL with it, or throw the whole fudging thing out and buy new food!

(I admit I have stretched metaphor to a new level/low, but it made me giggle and makes some sense?)

Your analogy doesn’t work.

If curry isn’t supposed to make you ill, if it did the restaurant need to make a better curry.

Of course he got smashed, it's a team from a Diddy league, isn't it, isn't that the black mark against him, he's never managed at a good level?
But if that's not a good level what is Cyprus and 2nd Spain?

I'm ange in, one reason is because I don't see an obvious replacement, and it's not iriola or Potter in my opinion.
I think Iraola has had a very similar career trajectory to Poch. He also managed in La Liga with Rayo Vallecano which brought him to the attention of Leeds. His teams play a similar pressing style to Poch's teams. Let's face it Iraola has shown he is more capable of consistency with a weaker team than Ange has had at his disposal. Do I think we will win the league under him? Probably not unless we strengthen significantly. I just want to see us challenging again though.

All that said, I don't see the point of getting rid of Ange before the end of the season though, otherwise we are back in caretaker territory. Certainly not while we are still in the cups.

If your digestive system cannot handle the level of spice which is causing the digestive issue -if you're committing to getting your system ready for extreme spice- then it is a pretty good analogy.

No manager is gonna improve things with the injuries we have

Jumping from ange to the next "oh, he looks good" manager just isn't going to work IMHO.
As for Poch, the guy worked wonders here and yet there's still some who cannot bring themselves to praise him, are Potter or iriola going to get a fair crack?
And as for the cheapskate levy phalanx they'll be sticking pins in their voodoo dolls.

If your system can’t handle it, don’t try and force it, eat what you can handle.

So we have now Lost the same as Spam and Leicester...and only the bottom 3 have lost more......

If we are serious about the cups, I think we need a different approach, at some point you will need to defend properly and more than likely In Europe shut up shop at take a draw away from home.

I don't think he has that in him

I'm going to try another one (well why not eh? LOL)...

You need elite health via nutrition. You choose to work with a nutritionist who suggests a dairy-free, raw food diet. This nutritionist has had great success with this method, however it usually takes two years to fully bed in and be the lifestyle change which propels you to success. It will require some progressive vitamin supplements, some of which include expensive probiotics. You agree. Your medical team endorse. You embark upon it. Things go very well early on, before you encounter some issues with regards to not feeling great. At the same time you also get the flu, then once recovered from that, you get covid. You get over those and manage to come back to health. In the meanwhile, your probiotic budget only allows for the cheaper, lesser proven strength brand. A few months in, you get another flu which knocks you back again, and that raw food diet is not helping either your immediate situation or your mood. Friends and family start telling you that a good steak, some mashed potatoes and a glass of milk every few hours will help until you feel better. So essentially giving up on the plan everyone round you endorsed…

...you have to admire the effort in these odd analogies, right? LOL...

I admire the effort, but the base premise is wrong.

A better analogy, imho, is that we need to change the engines on our plane, whilst it's in the air, so we need to keep it flying and swap bits over one at a time. If we turn them all off at once we are going to plummet to our death.

Thats what he's getting wrong, he's trying to do too much too quickly without the right parts.

Get the best out of what you have, and tweak it as you go.

You’ve seen the way we lurch from one managerial style to the next right?!?….
I have seen how we have done that previously yes - however I live in hope that with a proper structure in place above the manager and below Levy that there will be enough footballing smarts influencing the decision making next time around

The facts are we hired Ange and he has told us what he does. He's done it that way for nearly three decades everywhere. Everyone involved in the hire knew this. So anyone expecting him to change suddenly is not paying attention to what he has said from the get-go, and done forever.

You can criticize his methods -look, I wouldn't mind a bit more caution and perhaps a system shift to the squad we have available - but the facts have always been that he will not do that. He's been clear about it. We all knew, and know. So essentially, to keep saying 'he needs to' is a total waste of time.

We either stick with it and give him the rest of this season and next (unless relegation is imminent) or we bin it all off and dance around the bloody maypole like a bunch of morris dancers again!
