All time Spurs 5 a side team?

Jennings
King
Bale Gascoigne
Klinsmann

like that team except for Klinsmann. Not sure he has abilities to beat a man. ill go for:

-------------------Jennings-------------------

-------------------King------------------------

------Gazza-------------------Waddle--------

------------------Greaves----------------------

5 a side is completely different ball-game to 11 a side, and like above poster says, you basically need to fill up your team with players with great close control on the ball and decent shot. The ball changes hands often anyway, regardless of decent tacklers in the side as the pace is so fast, so sorry Ledders etc.

My 5-a-side Spurs team of players i've actually seen would be:

LLoris

Dembele
Gazza Ginola
Berbatov

That would be a nightmare side to face.. you'd never touch the ball.. until Berbs needed a ***... and Gazza went up to the bar.

Haha, would be a few decent "ringers" too, I'm thinking Modric, Kanoute, VDV. I might even have Bale at the back as its always useful to have someone who can pelt a low long-range shot from the back and he's strong and fast too.

Pace and close control are the most important things in 5 aside. The thinking part of the game doesn't really come into it.

I'd go:

-------------Lloris

Walker-------------Bale

Townsend------Cliff Jones

The one thing that lloris does brilliantly, is totally redundant in 5-a-side....you don't need a quick off the line keeper, you just need a shot stopper. I'd plump for Gomes or Jennings

Goals are smaller, Lloris reflexes are on par with Gomes and he gets down a lot quicker, him every time for me.

-----------------------jennings
-----------------------king
------------hoddle-----------gazza
----------------------greaves

End of thread.

Hoddle would be **** at 5-a-side, it's all about close marking and tracking back

I reckon your ideal spurs side would have players like sedgley, Michael brown, graham Roberts et al

Nah. Some mug attacker gets to King, Ledley wins the ball with ease, litle side-foot to Hod. Ghod pings it first time, left foot, right into the path of Jimmy. Greavsie burns towards goal, bosh, 1 nil.

They come again, ghost past Hod, but Gazza is there like a terrier, wins it...dribbles past 3, side-foot to Greavise who smashes it first time into the top-corner. 2 nil.

They have a good go this time, Hod and Greavsie stranded up the pitch, they've took Gazza out the game with slick passing and it's 3 on 1 v Ledders....they even get the best of The King. But Pat is there like a man mountain, plucks a bullet of a shot out of the air with one hand. Lands on the ground and springs back up, launching a huge throw towards Hod, who's being closed down by their only player left in defence. Hod sees him coming, takes Jennings' throw on his chest, simultaneously chesting it over the head of the on rushing defender....as the ball drops, he catches it sweet on the volley, a right-foot rocket straight past the amazed opposition keeper. 3 nil.

Over n out!

Great stuff! I'm imagining that in my mind's eye.
