Advice Needed (Kid at Game)

Pavlyuchenko

Paul Mahorn
Any advice greatly appreciated here…

I was looking to take my 7 year old to their first game but it was the usual lottery/nightmare re tickets. I got two together but in the safe standing section. I see it does say not suitable for kids (for obvious reasons) but that being said…

Will they let him in using an adult ticket? And for that particular section? It doesn’t say they are not allowed just that it’s likely not suitable, hence why they don’t sell junior tickets in that part.

Would it then be a disaster for him once there? I know there are seats but I assume most stand? He is tall and was thinking he could stand on a seat if needs be. 🫤

I am hoping it’s fine as getting two together is a ball ache at times!

Took my then 7 year old in the safe standing section, and thought it was the best place for him, along with front row of an upper tier. He stood on the seat, held the bar, and was the same height as adults. Don't remember if the seats were locked though.
Trouble with anywhere else, even if they can see seated, everyone stands up for the goal action, and you have to lift your 7 year old up, otherwise they miss all the goal action.
Thinking about it, the front row of all tiers could be kids with adults behind - the second row adults would then have as good a view as the first row do now.

Which game did you get?

The seats have never been locked in Row 5, where I am, I quite like a sit down at half time, would be well tinkled off if they were locked..
South Lower is fine for kids- aged 7 they are generally more interested in Chirpy than the game, they can't concentrate that long, but I'm sure he'll enjoy hearing the chanting etc

They dont lock the seats
My kids been and he was 6
My GHod son has been in the south stand since the stadium opened in safe standing and he is now 10
You won’t have any issues

Appreciate all the replies folks. As long as he’s allowed in using the adult ticket and others have done it then all good! Like some have said, the attention span may not be quite there yet anyway and plenty seats I’ve been in over the years people stand up quick at any action anyway.

Brentford game. It could make or break him but we’ve all been there!
