    Iliman Ndiaye

Comment on Reddit is that Richarlison wanted his ‘loyalty payment’ due for 26/7. Spurs refused to pay it and so did Everton. Suggested that the selling club usually pays it (I have no idea) so the deal went south over about £2 million

    Richarlison

As I posted elsewhere, I am convinced we’ll be relying on him to score goals for us at some point this season

    Richarlison

This is him refusing to take a pay cut to join Everton.

Who would have thought we'd end the transfer window scrabbling around to loan 5th choice options? Quite like old times.

    Richarlison

I've got a horrible feeling that at some point in the next few months we'll be relying on Richie to score goals for us again.

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

Were Gakpo and Ndaiye going to be back up? Who is Mudryk back up for - Tel?

***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Saturday August 29th, 5.30pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Except that he explicitly said that he had no problem with the Australia tour - not sure I believe him but that's what he said.

    Transfer thread

We actually are. Unfortunately we won't be playing the "Washington Generals" every week

    Transfer thread

I can see why we would be panicking at this stage although no idea who would be suitable and available

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

The first goal came from Saudi Sportswashing Machine’s tactical decision to push their right back high and wide creating a spare man and dragging Robertson out of position. It happened in the first few minutes and was pointed out by Carragher throughout the game but it seems RDZ did nothing to combat it.

    Kevin Danso

Except it wasn’t Van Hecke or VDV competing with Woltemade for the header. It was Udogie who didn’t get close. So presumably Danso wouldn’t have been near Woltemade either.

The Case for the Attacking play

    Sad - because it's true

Who is the most hated former player that’s not Judus?

On reflection I agree, I don't 'hate' any of them. Perhaps not even Sol, at least not any more. I saw him on the 'Stick To Football' podcast and came away with a very sad impression. If anything I feel sorry for him now.

    Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

I was expecting us to lose today but not like that. RDZ made a point of saying that he couldn't implement his full ethos in his few matches last season because he had to concentrate on grinding out a few results to keep us up but now we were safe he could start to change things for the better...

    Gary Mabbutt Always my Captain

People rightly identify Stevie P as perhaps our greatest captain since Dave Mackay but for me Mabs is right up there with him. Never gave less than 100% and a terrific role model on and off the field.

Who is the most hated former player that’s not Judus?

I was having a similar discussion with my son the other day but rather had there ever been players that we really disliked while they were still playing for the club. I came to the conclusion that simply pulling on the white shirt is almost always enough for me to like a player and want the best...

    ***Tottenham v Brentford OMT***

If you think that watching the game was bad for your health ... half time I took the opportunity to take my evening medication for my heart condition so wandered into the kitchen, moaning at the wife about how awful it was. Distracted by the carnage that I had just witnessed, I suddenly realised...

    ***Tottenham v Brentford OMT***

Oh blimey I wasn't ready for that. Unfortunately over the last 9 months I've had reason to closely consider my own mortality (got the all-clear on Tuesday). Many times especially in recent years I've thought that Tottenham might have finally broken my almost 60 years of love for them but I now...

    Sales

Don't seem to be able to attach links at the moment but a couple of days ago I saw was that Galatasaray has offered E18 million. It would be a hell of jump to E30 million especially as it was suggested we were asking for E25 million

    Omar Marmoush

Didn't really know much at all about Marmoush but succumbed to the temptation to watch a YouTube video and I now I really want us to sign him. Not sure that he's exactly what we need but I'd love to see him reproduce some of those skills in a Spurs shirt.
