    The Media and Tottenham

Henry Winter preferred to write about how Forest should have been awarded a penalty because of a 'high boot' by Tonali and / or the goal should have stood because even if the ball did hit Williams hand, he was simply protecting himself from Tonali's dangerous play. I mean, words fail me ...

Watched highlights of the u-18s against Birmingham. That Ollie Boast looks to be a bright prospect.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v The Garibaldis (will Marinakis eat his own club with a cuppa?), Sat Sept 5th, City Ground, 3pm***

All I want for this season is a reasonable (i.e not awful) home record and not being constantly linked with relegation. I realise that it is early but at the moment I don't have the confidence that either will happen.

***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v The Garibaldis (will Marinakis eat his own club with a cuppa?), Sat Sept 5th, City Ground, 3pm***

I watched both parts of RDZ's press conference yesterday. A reporter called him out on the suggestion that Tonali wasn't fully fit given no World Cup and a full pre-season. Now RDZ says that at Milan it took Tonali a year to understand how to fi into the team and perhaps it will be the same at...

    26/27 Season Predictions

In think it's impossible to predict anything. I chose mid-table mediocrity not because I am confident that we can and will achieve it but because I'll take anything other than the threat of relegation. I guess it's the product of a combination of the last few seasons and my natural pessimism but...

    Mykhailo Mudryk

I wasn't that desperate for another winger. I was desperate for a goal scoring striker (no idea who that could be though). However it seems that RDZ was that desperate for another winger. Only he could explain why. Still, miserable bastard that I am, I remain to be convinced by any of our...

    Mykhailo Mudryk

Isn't the £75 million option just a question of Chelsea protecting themselves against the (admittedly vanishingly small) chance that Mudryk demonstrates that he still has the abilities that led to them agreeing to pay up to £89 million for him more than 3 years ago? It would have been the...

    Transfer thread

The lack of physicality is a concern for me. We look lightweight and easily bullied. In the first three games I've seen too many examples of opposition players busting through tackles, knocking us off the ball or it taking two or three of our players to try to dispossess the opposition. I think...

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

I think perhaps it is you that is missing the point. I’m not happy that we’ve ended up with Mudryk having been aiming at Gakpo or Ndaiye but the reason I’m not happy has nothing to do with whether it means we will be mocked by people who don’t support the club (or even some that claim they do)...

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

We've already been mocked for almost getting relegated, for spending £100 million on Tonali, for spending £85 million on "twice relegated" Fernandes, for spending £75 million on Savio and probably for plenty of other things too. If you're worried about getting mocked then Spurs may not be the...

    Souza

I thought it was 2 years too but it is a 4 year deal until 2030 (when he'll be 36!)

    Kevin Danso

After watching the game on Saturday, I am just as (if not more) worried about how de Zerbi is organising the defence as the qualities of individual players. Having Tonali isolated against Elanga or standing 15 yards from the nearest opposition player while they are attacking doesn't seem the...

To be honest, the more I read Richy's comments from yesterday, the less I have any idea what he's saying.

    Iliman Ndiaye

The risk is surely that he will be even worse than Tel so we will have no decent alternatives to Savio (unproven) and Kudus (unfit). RDZ expects his wingers to contribute 12 goals a season!

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

Quite possibly. In my mind Danso is back up right CB and Senesi/ Davies back up left CB. I would always expect Danso to play in place of Van Hecke but that Senesi and Davies might end up sharing cover for VDV so ironically Danso would have a better chance of playing than Davies or Senesi. But...

    Iliman Ndiaye

Yep that’s the way I see it too. A while ago RDZ implied that Richy kept changing is mind on whether he want to leave or not (that wouldn’t surprise me at all). I think when the Ndaiye opportunity came up we tried to make Richy’s mind up for him. Perhaps without arguments over bonuses the deals...

Tosin & Mudryk deals with Chelsea

I really liked Danso but I understand why he wants to leave. Just wished he could have said so a bit earlier as it was obvious that he was not first choice. I also was quite keen on us signing Tosin when he was at Fulham. I’d be happier with Danso but not distraught with Tosin.
