This one is a grey area for me. Not with Mike Dean though as he did do exactly what you said for the reasons you said. When I played football it was common for a referee to bring a player over, tell them to stop talking and them give them a lecture. I would love football to move back to that...

It's up to Richi really. Unless he wants to head in to apologise and admit that he was a total dingdong then he should train on his own until January. We can continue to be subservient to players as a club, or we can set this new path and start acting like a big club and creating the new culture...

That's why he used to make sure he sought out the most high profile player on the pitch and gave them a yellow. Put them back in their place and show them that he's the important person on that pitch. It's actually narcissism when you think about it.

Interesting comments about Fernandez playing as a 10 in his youth career and then moving back into the deeper position more recently, assumedly meaning Saints and Hammers. I think this kid is going to be an absolute baller in the mode of a Modric or Eriksen.

D Yeah, cos Frank's tactics weren't obvious.......to him, to our players and definitely not to the fans. An opposition manager would have no chance :tearsofjoy:

Feel for the guy. In most likelihood he would have been the 21st or 22nd man tomorrow, but it would have meant something to be available for the bench if required.

He was the right man to lead us "his way" from about 2001 to 2012. FSG bought LFC in 2010 and in that 2010-15 period we started to see more mature leadership models emerging in the PL. Levy still mostly managed in his 2-in-the-box model with his managers right through to 2019 with Poch. Yes, we...

It's sort of where my head's at as well. Kudus and Tel could easily be the heroes in this game or Gray could come on to help close it out.

If it was the one I was thinking of, the lip readers caught Dean saying something like "you've bottled the league then" and laughed at Poch and Perez. Another incident where PGMOL weren't held to account and Levy bottled it by not backing his manager. Dean is one toxic guy.

I remember getting slated for daring to bring the words "Football DNA" to this forum when saying that Levy lacked it. I've said for 2 decades or more that Levy had some fundamental issues in his leadership. Listening was one area I suspected a challenge. That is the most important trait of a...

I think what @revlis and @Mr Gogolak post really plays into the PGMOL process of screening, monitoring and promoting referees to the elite level not working at all. They have a database of 600 or so officials up and down the country and if the process is working then we would clearly see the...

We also have to remember that our club is trying to change a problematic player culture. Why is it OK for any member of RDZ's squad to just post this type of thing on their socials? Romero did it. Richi did it. Would it be healthy for van Hecke, Savio and Marmoush to undermine their new manager...

    Johan Lange - Sporting Director

I think the 3 key variables are 1) no UEFA football 2) injuries 3) what happens ahead of the defence If we get it down to 1 game a week, with the same GK, defence and centre mid then we have a fighting chance of these guys building their understandings and RDZ getting his philosophy across...

    Johan Lange - Sporting Director

When you look at the finances then clearly you don't upgrade the midfield and attack unless you create money from selling defenders. Then you have the scenario where players wanted to leave. Without those 2 variables we could have been aiming for: Porro, Spence, Romero, JPvH, VDV, Senesi...

I suppose it also depends what happens between now, the Turkish transfer deadline tomorrow and the match itself. Is Richi going to be part of this setup until January or not?

Dawson's greatest quality was being available for team selection. He was the bridesmaid to King, Naybet, Woodgate, Gallas and I even preferred Kaboul to him. That lot were all better than Daws (but a bunch of crocks) whereas Daws was fit and available for selection. Dawson was certainly 20%...

I think both yourself and many others like @thfcsteff know my views on PGMOL. I was incredibly disappointed with Levy for not addressing the PGMOL issues at both his club's level and the great PL. Daniel had high status amongst the PL executives within the PL. He was even appointed as their...
