I don't agree that Gray is a better RB than Spence. Nothing I've seen from Gray suggests that is the case.

    Transfer thread

Interesting, I've always seen him play mostly on the right. I wonder if they are just adding depth to their attacking areas. It's quite a collection of forwards but still lacking a straight out striker.

It's funny and transparent. Why they don't just say they don't rate Spence and want him gone and be done with it I don't know get all this jumping through hoops to not just say what you really mean is crazy. 🤣

I don't understand the logic you have here. You want to actively weaken the depth of the squad. What happens if Porro breaks his leg in game week 1? We play our brand new CB at RB for an extended period of the season? Van Hecke has played RB a grand total of 6 times in his entire career and...

Young players we should look at

Saudi Sportswashing Machine are close to completing a deal Manzambi, supposedly £50m. Not a player I had seen prior to the World Cup so not sure if hes someone we should have been interested in or not.

I'd love to see Richarlison's version of this. 🤣

    Savinho

Yes. Thats where the conundrum is. Is his relative failing at City due to the system, change of play style and his instructions or is it deeper and connected to the differences between the leagues? I think its more of the former than the latter, as i've seen dozens of skillful players...

Being pleasant doesn't mean bending over backwards for me, it just means making the deal work for both parties. A negotiation that both parties feel happy with is one that is more likely to lead to repeat business and we are always going to need to buy and sell players.

Being pleasant and amenable in transfer dealings is going to make our lives so much easier going forward. Teams will actually be winning to trade with us, making getting rid of the dead wood so much easier.

    Djed Spence

I don't think he switches off anymore than anyone else. It's just we notice he is tarred with that brush moreso than others.

    Savinho

Tbf You're probably right that a lot of people have just jumped on the bandwagon but I think that's generally the case for most players we get linked with. Fans tend to be overly positive about possible additions unless they know the player well and have misgivings.

Literally the same thing happened to me. 🤣 I used to be a lurker on here and a poster there, then I got banned for not posting at least once a day and I came over here full time.

    Savinho

Nah, it's because some of us watched him for Girona and were impressed by him there. I wanted to sign him directly after that season (I think I mentioned him at the time on here) and I was disappointed he signed for City (which was Inevitable). Brazil have been brick since 2006, being Brazilian...

The reason it's being critiqued is because this questioning tends to follow certain patterns and stereotypes and is often only applied to certain people. Let's say that yes Djed sometimes switches off and you have picked up on it. VDV also often switches off, drifts from his position, doesn't...

    Xavi Simons

The best combos we saw was him with Odobert and surprising (but surprising really) Muani. Those three were in the same wavelength and understand each other movements and intentions.

    Cristian Romero

You're right watching that replay again, tackle is fine imo then. If you get the ball first I don't mind what happens afterwards. 😆
  17. Bishop

    Cristian Romero

I don't mind a hard tackle at all, but you've got to get the ball first.

    Cristian Romero

He got his positioning all wrong on a number of those counters Egypt had. He wasn't good in general play at all, I was watching him to see how he was doing.

    Cristian Romero

He's not having the best of games today.

He honestly wasn't the player everyone thought he was. We would have needed a striker to go along with him to get the best out of him.
