It's predominantly a community of people who discuss and decide considering a plethora of things. I'll happily use my own eyes to tell me Danso is not the 6th best defender at the club, and regardless 'value' is a different thing to performance on the pitch...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

Classy from Frank, would expect nothing less from him. He would have been hurting, this was his big job opportunity and he obviously worked hard. Hopefully he settles down at a good club when he's ready, all the best to him....

    Andy Robertson

I don't know if his legs have gone, but almost every time I saw him last season he was poor for whatever reason and he is 32 so unlikely to get any better. Kerkez was rubbish last season, so that's hardly a barometer to use as evidence....

Blimey, a Champions League winner in North London :) .....

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

The problem is we are now prepared to offer wages you pay for big players, but we are unattractive for that level of player to join. A club not in Europe will struggle to attract the stature of player even if offering the wages. Let's see what the next few windows bring....

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

It's common knowledge with football agents that Spurs have loosened their wage structure for potential signings. Semenyo was someone offered big wages but unsurprisingly plumped for City. Of course people are going to remain sceptical, but it's pretty obvious the intention to loosen the strings...

Managers say a lot of things for a lot of reasons. I don't think he will be going either, and everyone sees the things he does well - he's quick and good dribbling with the ball. But defensively he fudges up a lot, sometimes his speed makes up for it other times not but his defensive...

    J P van Hecke

What on earth are you talking about, he is our best defender as it is. Romero is leaving, VDV is not a very good defender and the rest are worse. Danso is our best and most reliable defender....

Forgot this started today, going to have to watch the highlights now. Always thought Robinson looked decent when he first came on the scene for England, what happened to him? I'm guessing an injury of sorts....

No matter how many times you repeat he is our best player that doesn't make it anymore true. He is a very talented guy, but a player who has never set foot in the Premier League or played football for us is not our best player. This league is relentless and unforgiving, he will be tested like...

There are elite clubs that do that, and those elite clubs that don't do that just spend spend spend until they succeed. We take neither approach, and are not an elite club....

    João Palhinha

Agree with most of this, but I can't think of many/any players in our squad with his mentality and desire - Until I see our squad with a few more who show similar, I would rather we sign him than not....

    Will Lankshear

People get too wedded down in very basic stats as if that's conclusive evidence - All I ever see is people quoting goals and assists as statistical evidence of attackers performance, actual football analysts are looking at things far deeper than that and even the basic eye test tells you more...

He's quality. But to be fair he failed his medical at Brentford after they found back and knee issues including a piece of loose cartilage. So it's no surprise we didn't take the risk.....

I would be devastated if Bergvall was sold, his ceiling is really high IMO. I like Sarr, but could both understand and handle him being sold to be honest....
