***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Leeds United, Mon May 11th, 8pm, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium***

Once you get past 50 all the seasons blur together apart from the ones of your youth.

Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Was chatting to my mate on phone yesterday and he had an interesting POV, he thought with so many hung councils it might focus councillors on working together rather than following "the party line", I thought it might lead to stalemates and actions being held up and that his idea was based on...

*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

I've been attending football matches since 1958 and can't remember a season where I have heard so much booing of home teams, it's not restricted to relegation threatened teams even the team top of the table get it. The behaviour of so called supporters is disgraceful, they act like small...

I'd hope it's not true, it's a despicable thing to do.

Just got to look and sound good on TV, there are a lot of gameshow hosts out there in with a chance. We live in a time where Ant & Dec could be PM and chancellor.

I think he could develop in to a a midfield player, he looks an intelligent player, a good user of the ball, and strong tackler, he's a bit over confident at times but it's not a bad fault, I prefer to see that than nervous players.

I think that's a reasonable assumption on his part, parliamentary and local council elections are totally different. I have often voted for candidates from different parties in local elections as they are usually fighting for local issues even though it's a complete waste of time in my council area.

I agree that everyone who is eligible should be allowed to vote, then I see the results of elections I question my own sanity.

Some fantastic players in Serie A back then.

I agree most leagues are in decline, teams are coached to play systems not football.

The standard of German league like PL has been in decline for a couple of seasons. I was taken to task when I've wrote this in the past but apart from Bayern the teams we have played looked very ordinary.

I find it worrying than people standing for political office cannot or will not be able to engage in debate or understand the people they represent. I believe its a good thing for all ethnic groups get involved in politics but feel candidates like this will create division rather than unity.

Problem is City, Chelsea, Liverpool, United, Woolwich and probably Saudi Sportswashing Machine are more attractive options for that type of player. We are in a position where we have to take a chance on what we can get and fans need to ignore all the crap in clickbait stories.

Bit optimistic given we haven't got a 15 goal a season player in team.
