Bit like being the best league in Shropshire, outside a few teams in CL most European teams would struggle with intensity of PL, nothing to do with quality.

You're right but then you didn't have thousands of peoples hope and dreams riding on your performance. I'm with Spiderman on this.

They are not bad players I question their commitment, we have all been told to work in ways we don't like or agree with but we have to do it in the best way we can and not sulk. Too many appeared to be happy to hide behind the manager, they are not alone, we see it at many clubs. Modern players...

Agree until I read the last line and realised you started on the sauce a bit early.

    Cristian Romero

I think you just need to look at the way Joelinton is treated by referees and media compared to Romero. Romero dives into tackles recklessly and often looking to gain revenge for previous tackles, to me Joelinton appears just to want to hurt people for no reason other than him being a thug.

I think it could have been, Beal was a great club player.

Takes me back to over 50 years ago when we had Chelsea, Woolwich and Leeds to play in our last 3 games and needed 2 wins to stay up. We beat Chelsea 2-0 at home, lost 1-0 at the library and beat a very good Leeds 4-2 in the must win game in a night match at The Lane, Chivers, Conn and 2 from...

Win our games that's the guarantee of staying up.

    Rodrigo Bentancur

I think the midfield worked well as a unit in Villa game, something that's not happened that often. Their experience helped greatly, Bergvall and Gray have real potential but have had to carry too much expectation this season particularly with changing teams and tactics. So many young midfield...

    João Palhinha

He's a professional, doesn't sulk or go on social media to moan. At Bayern he was in a team that rarely get beat and never get outplayed, there was nothing for him to do, classic spare prick at a wedding not a flop.

That simple ball from Gallacher to Spence is something we rarely do, usually pass inside or back in those situations, so park football no sophistication, no white boards, little bit of paper or pages of notes, just football

I've never been a believer in the let's keep it tight and steady at start of games, you've got to put your opponents on the back foot and set the tempo. You can't flip a switch and the whole team change gear, players have got into to low intensity style and it difficult to do.

Palhinha may not be a perfect midfielder and lack the quality we see in others but in most of the games I've seen him play he is trying to hold the team together with his effort and experience. I think we've missed that in games and he has set better leadership qualities than we have seen from...

It's what happens when players are drilled to play a rigid system rather than expressing themselves. The top teams have a couple players that lift them from the robotic horde.

We've become great grandparents today, my granddaughter had a little boy, got to work on him as soon as I can and get a 5th generation Spurs fan.

Shame on them and all other "professionals footballers" who have to be told how to play as they don't have enough common sense not to make foolish errors.

    Will Lankshear

I get your point, I feel strongly that the development system in this country is not working. The step from what was youth football use to be a reserve team now over 18 players don't get exposed to playing against experienced players just their peers. I believe 5 subs is more than enough to...
