The *WHEN* we go down thread

I’d love to see some of our youth players get a go. I feel like the club has lost its soul a bit in the last few seasons, I want to see some players who it really means something to when they play for us, they came through the system and want to make it here. However, that is one for next...

If we go down, I really do think he could build some great foundations around his style in the Championship, extra games, a chance to use more youth players and see who can make the step up. A lot depends on recruitment too of course, but I think he could have us in a good place for a return.

It’s tricky because it isn’t like these ACL injuries all happened at home and could therefore lead us to look at the home pitch as an issue. Maybe training pitches? Surely though there is a deeper issue with some of these injuries? Even if it’s not the cause but the quality of treatment? I just...

Apologies if I miss some of either of your points as I’ve quoted you both for speed. Steff, I think the feeling generated by winning something is absolutely a ‘thing’ however to me (and it is just a personal feeling) you need something alongside that to suggest that long term there are pieces...

He’s shown a top mentality to get himself back playing and performing well, that night in Madrid would have written a few off I reckon.

It’s genuinely like the 22 losses didn’t happen at times on here, numerous posts across numerous threads that seem to make out everything was fantastic because we won the Europa and it would all kick on this season. Then dastardly Thomas Frank came along and ruined it all. This downward spiral...

Yeah I think we would need three wins, which I cannot see for a second. Least it’s still mathematically possible.

It’s not even the lack of talent in some cases, West Ham, Forest, Leeds - none of them have world beaters, but what they do have are players who have realised they’re in trouble, didn’t think they’re too big for it and battled. They got results. West Ham will do the same, at the moment, a few...

There’s the odd one that if you removed them and put them in a decent team they would push on, but having them all together in the same team just shows how crap our squad building and transfers have been. This is our easiest game for the remainder of the season. We haven’t even got a player...

People keep dressing it up that’s it’s all injuries and misfortune. It’s actually just that this set of players put together just aren’t very good, lack quality, and for most of the season didn’t really care either. This idea that with the right manager they could be sitting easily in mid...

The tough bit will be when as always Wolves score first on Saturday, it feels almost written that it will happen to test everyone… hopefully it inspires us to come back to a 3-1 win.

With Rosenior sacked, has there ever been a season where three different clubs all had three different managers? (Assuming they appoint someone before the seasons out)

I do think you’re right, West Ham seemed to have their push a while back, they found form and that was what got them back into contention for staying up. We haven’t had that push yet and you do feel that if we can get a win, it may prompt 2 or even 3. West Ham feel like they are maybe levelling...
