The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Man U and Woolwich are actually close to Chelsea and in theory could pull them back into it but ultimately I believe they (Chelsea) will have enough about them and more than capable of going on a 6-game winning streak. I've always felt that Wolves wont score enough goals to seriously challenge...

    ***Tottenham Hotspur v Burnley*** OMT

Thanks for sharing your account - you get a totally different perspective from being at the ground and especially when sitting behind the goal. For disclosure I gave up on streams about 7 minutes in so only followed the game via Sky Sports Updates. Have now watched the club's extended...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

The next 3 games will indicate whether we Saturday was just a freak result. My instinct is that we're still not going to be consistent enough. 72 points I think will comfortably achieve 4th spot - this was always the magic number (as '40' is always quoted as survival threshold). In the last 3...

OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project **

There seems to be 'something in the water' when we play Emirates Marketing Project. That's 4 wins in 6 (PL games) during a period in which we've been pretty average and City have been mostly blistering. In fact we have taken more points (13) off City during this period than any other club in the PL (bar...

    BLOG POST - THE STREAK.....

The Streak…and what it means Should Spurs get beaten at Emirates Marketing Project on Saturday night (and I dont think I’m speaking out of turn to suggest that this seems quite an inevitable outcome for most Spurs fans) it will be a 4th successive league defeat; the first time Spurs have suffered such...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Nope - Arsenal lost first three games this season; Man U lost 4 in 5 (the 1 being the 3-0 win against us ). Last season Liverpool lost 4 on the spin and ended up finishing 3rd with 69 points having ended the season with 5 straight wins (and 7 wins in 9).

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

From a personal perspective (and I dont for one moment suggest you're throwing me into this base) I dont thrive on the negativity but I'm more inclined to listen to all the podcasts and exchange thoughts and analysis after a defeat. There's often little to say or add following a standard 2-0...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

I do wonder if the perennial fight to reach Champions League is now damaging our longer term thinking which has caused significant strategic drift. I've felt for a while that we're suffering an identity crisis. As a club we were all quite comfortable with being the 'challenger' - i think it...

The Game Is About Glory - A Glitch In The Matrix

Well done guys. I don't think ticket prices is a factor in booing - I genuinely think if you put the same 50,000 people in the stadium having charged them all £10 a ticket the reaction would have been the same. It's not totally unique to Tottenham as a fanbase but there is an element of...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Since 2011 every team that has finished in the Top 4 has gone on a 4-game winning streak at some point during the season. We are yet to do so but Woolwich and West Ham already have. Looking at our fixtures and based on what I've seen this week I don't see us stringing together 4 successive...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Yes its a somewhat irrelevant stat as Leicester having occupied a 1-4 spot for most of the period yet finishing 5th proves. Equally in the Lasagnegate season Woolwich were outside of the Top 4 from 3rd December until the final 45 minutes of the season in May! However, I'm at risk of disproving...

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

We really need to stop considering ourselves to be a Top 4 team. In the last 90 matchday weeks going back to September 2019 we have only occupied a position in the Top 4 on 9 occasions. By contrast West Ham have been in there for 12 weeks and Leicester for 67.

The Limp Struggle to Sneak into the top 4 2021/22

Conference qualification is now down to the 6th spot as Liverpool play Chelsea in the League Cup Final. However, should any of the teams who finish in spots 1-6 win the FA Cup (the current top 4 and us are all still in it) then 7th spot gets Conference League.

    **** Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur ****

I think Conte didn't handle the League Cup semi-final's well at all in terms of his selection (particularly the second leg) and his general demeanour which looked very defeatist and I'm sure permeated its way into the team. However, I think bigger picture is that in a particularly busy schedule...

    ***** Tottenham v West "Massive" Ham *****

In hindsight I'd say we were in control for all of the second half. West Ham were brilliant for 3 minutes between us scoring first and then their equaliser. They really posed no threat through the centre and it looked as though we'd worked hard on preventing them crossing the ball - which apart...

Unbelievable that UEFA's 'Ethics' committee has taken this long to meet and come to a decision.

Spurs in the FA Cup 2021-22 - 5th Round: Middlesbrough (A)

Will be interesting to see ticket prices for this. As of 2017, we as the home team, make the decision on how much to charge. I'd expect it to be £25 adults and £5 concessions with family tickets available. They may choose to only open the lower tiers too as per Europa League games.

How often do we think UEFA's Discipline, ethics and pretending to be bothered by racism committee actually meets? You'd have thought this needed to be prioritised to have taken place this morning?

Spurs in the FA Cup 2021-22 - 5th Round: Middlesbrough (A)

Our last Saturday 3pm KO in any competition was 25 January 2020 (Southampton away in FA Cup). You have to go back to Burnley on Sat 7 Dec 2019 (the Sonny goal!) for our last Sat 3pm home game. technically the Watford away game is a Sat 3pm although its also NYD i.e. a Bank Holiday. We've...
