*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur FC v Brentford FC ***

Funnily enough, when watching Brentford vs Arsenal on Wednesday it felt very similar to watching us..... The implications if we lose this game or even draw...oh boy.... I'd start: Vicario Spence Romero MVDV Udogie Paulinha Gray Kudus Xavi Odobert Muani COYS Please

    Dominic Solanke

I always thought from the beginning this was one of those really long-term injuries that the club and Frank weren't being very truthful about.... Only a few weeks ago it was "not far away" etc...oh well..

    Pedro Porro

I think against the raw pace and trickery of Saudi Sportswashing Machine's wingers, playing Spence tactically would have been a no-brainer. I have to assume it was more politics that played a part for Porro starting ahead of Spence. There is no point in having Spence available if you don't utilise him and his...

    Pedro Porro

I honestly think he was only played because Frank didn't want to add fuel to the fire around that Porro argument with Bergvall and that SM post about fan support re Vicario etc. He shouldn't have played simply because of how he would have been a weak link vs Saudi Sportswashing Machine's very pacy winger (the...

I thought it was interesting that Spence didn't start. I'm convinced if there wasn't that crowd issue hanging over Porro (and Vicario) Spence would have started to combat Saudi Sportswashing Machine's pacy wingers. That might have made the issue more pronounced imo and Frank didn't want to add fuel to the fire...

The Case for the Attacking play

It was eye bleeding stuff at times. Kudus is often the biggest culprit (i think he often slows down our play far too much), but the jogging and lack of initiative to take advantage of the fact we had some men on them in attack was shocking

Also, don't the likes of Bruno, Joelinton and Burn do the same as Bentancur in just about every game when defending corners??

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Yeah, how often we ended up passing backwards was and has been so fustrating. We often have lack of movement in the forward areas OR we have good movement but are so blind not to then try and pass to them. Johnson was getting so frustrated when he'd make runs into space only for whoever was on...

Very happy with the point. Still highly frustrated with our gameplay, player decision-making and the subs: almost every game the subs seem to make us worse. Hopefully a turning point in our season. Must-win game vs Brentford and ZERO excuses if we don't win imo

Yeah, but do we have such a valuable and star-studded squad at this time who'd have the gall to go above the manager's head to Vinai et al atm? Plus would Vinai entertain such so new in his role?

    Pedro Porro

Yes indeed. I do wonder how much there is a dressing room split atm. Interesting that it was Bergvall that Porro was seemingly arguing with...Bergvall is one of those youngsters Vic is only too happy to publicly lambast when they make an error whilst not saying boo to some others...hmm

Hmm, i don't agree with such a policy, but i can sort of understand it with one or two very big bonafide stars like Kane or even Son. I don't think any of our players can/should have such importance. Maybe Ange's cup win last season has caused more problems lol

Hmm, so the rumours of him doing the same with Pochettino are likely true too?

Hmm, in that case we can include our treatment of Nuno as a comparison to Emery as well? Maybe Juande Ramos too?

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Hmm... Unai had a track record of silverware and playing in Europe (not to mention winning European trophies). If snobbery is involved Arsenal fans had less reason to feel entitled than us at this point. Not trying to excuse us in any way, but there are levels between the two coaches, plus one...

I don't think it was an attempt to keep their job, more PR for the next one. I for one was fine with that, even if i knew the truth deep down, as i was happy for Ange to use us for his CV elsewhere as he'd get what he wanted after giving us what he wanted; win:win....until this September of...
