I'd have thought a lot of scouting is about building up player knowledge as opposed to purely transfer specific - if you have that, then when you want a specific player you already have base from which to work from

As you mentioned earlier it needs to be viewed alongside no. of shots to have any meaning in that regard

If a shot taken has a high xg then surely by definition it is a good chance that has been created? Whether or not the person on the end of the shot has good finishing ability doesn't change that. Agree on the cumulative figures.

I suspect a lot of these fan groups on facebook and the like are run by non-spurs fans for clicks and as you say bad news sells better so that's what gets pushed

Football fans imv are a lot quicker to conclude that something isn't working than managers are - throughout all of ours, at one point or another we as fans have said 'x y or z isn't working why doesn't he change it' while they carry on seemingly doing the same thing time after time (i mean we...

People are saying, quite rightly, that the squad is bereft of creativity in midfield and quality in attack and that it is a big factor in our blunt play atm - the way you're framing that view is quite poor. A more attacking manager may get more out of the players here, they may not - Frank...

No, the opposite, I'm saying that's the only real position we are selecting the more defensive option available (vs the claim we are doing so in every position) The 4 attackers is in reference to how we have been trying to use Xavi centrally - that has seen a switch from 433 (Xavi off the left)...

That's where we need to be IMV, 433 with Sarr & Bergvall getting plenty of minutes - 433 leaves Xavi without a starting position though unless we use him off the left.

We don't typically play 5 defenders and set up how we did v Arsenal though - so again it's not the most defensive option every time. It was that time but that is the exception not the rule. So let's cut out repeating that non truth

Yes he did but that's away to arguably the best team in Europe and otherwise Porro been almost an ever present - you have framed the point as being the case everytime when that is just not the case.

This is only really true of CM as we're settling atm on Bentancur partnering Palinha, this allows 4 attackers on the pitch - however that's creating issues with losing the midfield battle. Porro Udogie (now available) + 4 attackers is not on paper picking the defensive options every time. We...

I'm guessing the idea would have been to approach this and the Arsenal game in a similar fashion, which doesn't bode well

Nevermind - presumably you mean he has more options available to him than the ones he is choosing currently

You didn't say it directly but it's what was implied in the conversation being had. If i have misread that then fair enough. Edit : "they are better than what we had" with reference to Xavi Muani & Kudus - at this juncture is only 1 out 3 correct (Kudus)

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

It doesn't matter whether or not he has seen them, you are saying we have better attacking options than last season - i dispute that Richarlison is weaker than the injured Solanke (Muani is yet to get match fit and play a run of games to judge) Xavi is not at the level of Maddison or...

Xavi does not look a better player than either Kulusevski or Maddison and has a long way to go before he proves to be in this league. If Kudus can produce what Son did last season in terms of attacking numbers then that would be a big step up for him.
