Yeah, agree. To keep it simple we need to be multi-faceted by having threats down the left, right and centre. We need to give the opposition something to think about. We've seen B'mouth and Wolves negate Kudus and it mostly kill the entire offensive threat by Spurs. Having the sort of options we...

    Pushing Up The Daisies

Absolutely gutted for Lewis Moody. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/videos/c3w50126393o This is a really tough interview to watch. I had a good friend who died from a neurodegenerative condition (PSP). With Motor Neurone you just know it wil be a really tough battle for Lewis and his...

    The case for the defence

I was actually screaming at Xavi for being an idiot. He got no purchase on the rabona but would have easily made that simple pass with his left foot. I'm pretty certain if that had gone in, Xavi would have been called bang to rights for showboating. He needs to pick his moments.

Sorry, I meant right but Poch did the same thing on the left for Sonny. Corrected above. It just depends how much width Frank wants from Udogie on the left and whether that is balancing Kudus natural width on the right. We found with Ange having 2 really wide players leaves gaps elsewhere. Poch...

I guess we get to find out. Eriksen always played tucked in on the right with Walker owning the outside space. I'm just not sure why Kulu couldn't do the same. EDIT: typed left when I meant right. Corrected

Yeah, you didn't mention doctors and teachers that have been doing their jobs for 30 years. They are completely untouchable and shouldn't be questioned for their performance.

I hope we do. I don't buy into this concept that Kulu can't play on the left. Now we have our LB playing in the wide areas, it could be the make it work. Kulu and Xavi could interchange like Eriksen and Dele did.

    The case for the defence

Perhaps a minority, but most of us just want continuous improvement. I think Frank will use the tools available to him more than most managers and will really use his analyst team. Then he'll bring these things to the training ground. He'll also question his own tactics and try to understand...

    The case for the defence

I think we can sometime be guilty of looking for single root causes with goals. As always, we had multiple players not covering themselves with glory. Vic was definitely one. VDV definitely didn't cover himself in glory either. No players should have that much freedom to put in a cross either...

    The case for the defence

I do hope Frank sits VDV down and they look at the goal conceded today. VDV was flat footed, had his balance all wrong and then took his eyes of the ball and turned his back. If VDV wants to be at the elite level he'll learn from that moment.

What impressed me most today was that instinctive push of the ball to the right to take it further away from the defender and the quick follow-up shot. It was the speed of those 2 things together that made the goal in my opinion. In that moment he looked like a quality centre forward.

Sick sick world what is wrong with people

Yep, that guy would have been a wrongun in any location or society across the world. What I found most intriguing was the statement that was published by his own family. "The Al-Shamie family in the UK and abroad strongly condemns this heinous act, which targeted peaceful, innocent civilians...

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

In reality, Forest fans will probably look beyond Ange to his coaching staff when they see some of the tactical details on match days. It was always a debate at Spurs. We seemed to be better with Chris Davies around and Matt Wells still works for the club under Frank. Obviously, Ryan Mason has...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

Very interesting. Am I dreaming or did I see Porro with the armband on at some point this season? He's the other name I would think about. Seems like VDV is growing as a personality in the group. I didn't really see his name being mentioned previously.

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

I haven't watched those games but it does occur to me that I found myself saying exactly what you wrote there so many times. Spurs being the better side and deserving a win or a draw but ending up with these sucker punch goals because of perceived flaws in the tactical system. It's probably the...

    Dejan Kulusevski

I just can't help feeling that life would be so much better for Frank and us fans if we could get Dejan back into the fold. For me, it just changes so much tactically, not to mention his strong personality on the pitch. I'm also thinking that, unlike previous seasons, we can bring him back at a...

The 'If You Still Need to Purge Yourself Of Ange' Thread

That's totally fair. I hope this time around Ange is a little less arrogant with his public persona and the media. As you probably know I was very complimentary about Ange's offensive output, especially losing Kane. I was equally as critical of him for his defensive output especially as we'd...
