Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

Cool and people get that but it doesn't mean people can be mindlessly racist for those that then call it out to be wrong. If a bloke has to hide in a shop all night because some thugs have run a muck in Southport I don't buy the idea that it's just immigration out of control and fear that...

My local Dr, who is lovely BTW is a British Muslim and was told to f off back home.....so I don't share the idea that most are ok with immigrants who contribute, it's a romantic notion but this country has as much of a bigot issue as it does immigration Farage promised reports on how to deal...

I like him, but don't love him, functional and hard working, but doesn't have the cutting edge to elevate us IMO. Thats not even comparing him to Kane, just not the instinctive side there, gets in right areas and good in air, always feel he wants abit too much time on ball to guarantee the...

Thats what they want over time to reverse the fact their wages have trended drastically under inflation for years no? Not what they want in one hit

Because as I said last year when those that wanted to talk about it in binary terms, people often don't separate the two, which happens alot on here as well as anywhere. There is a huge difference between immigration and illegal immigration whilst there is also a need to be humanitarian with...

We can match the price, we decide not to because the levels of wastage in NHS spending means they won't and then we fill it with cheaper options. So the outcome is the same

Of course it is, if the salary being offered is paltry that means people don't want to do the job or they think their skills are being undervalued, then topping up with skilled staff from overseas who are cheaper and willing to do the job is the same.

Are they? I thought that was the total figure they have received as back paid cost of living increases over the past couple of years, not what they want now

Well one of the major arguments for Brexit was a fair wage for local workers like Brickies and other trades to have a better chance of a fairer wage than employing cheaper from abroad, so its really different cheeks to the same arse in many respects. And a couple of plonkers on here (although...

Of course its Dogmuck, we are talking about Jnr Drs here...... Jnr Drs 38k out the trap after 5 years of study to get there and are officially fully qualified Drs, so no, not just an apprenticeship, that's severely watering down what they are doing. And you might not agree with this, but as...

I would pay them something decent..........£36,000 as a starting point for that job thats 4 years after 5 of study. I don't get where we come from with this when you talk about a critical public service, like they are some sweaty betty sat in the Passport Office in Croydon civil service just...

Thats all well and good but that does not take away that the entry salary is dogmuck............All well and good that their pensions are ridiculous (as they should be). So what's the wrecking ball? Stonewall them, lose them, make the job so unattractive that we have to rely on cheaper options...

I would say yes given they have been massively under paid for a long time. Whats the entry rate now year 1 after years of studying? £36,000? Thats absolutely ridiculous given the job and the responsibility. If people are going to go after anything in the NHS it should be the management...
