    Can’t comment on Cambridge although it’s only a couple of hours away by trains from us. On the list. Thailand and Vietnam are both excellent places. But so many choices to make as to which areas you can cover. Watch out for the weather in Vietnam as they have very different climates/seasons...

    Anecdotal only but I know a lot of attitudes in the US towards the IRA changed after 9/11. Regardless of the Good Friday agreement, there was still support and collections for the IRA going on, before 9/11.

    I’ve been a pub person for more years than I can count. I spend far more time in pubs than is good for me. Nothing that is said in a pub would shock me. But not everyone who drinks in a pub is a dingdong about women supporting football. Or actually a dingdong about anything else - although some are.

    That’s my understanding as well. Obviously that’s not the type of scenario this change is intended for but I’d still say that’s a very rare occurrence and as is sometimes the case the undeserving will benefit from legislation that protects those who do need it.
