Antonio Conte - officially NOT the coach of THFC

If Conte walks either now or in the summer I think there will be backlash/reaction from the fanbase on a level not yet seen under Levy's tenure. Of that I have no doubt. People are kidding themselves if they think otherwise. That said I don't think we are anywhere near that stage. This seems...

    Eric Dier

I personally think Dier is pretty good on the ball for a centre half. He has much more time on the ball as the spare man at the back and he's used that to good effect in recent weeks. You only need to compare him to Tanganga & Sanchez in league games and when he replaced Rodon against Mura...

    Cristian Romero

I understand where you're coming from on the overreaction - but not signing him would just be cutting off our own nose...I mean I'd love to get some sort of revenge on the Argentinian national team but looking at it rationally there's nothing we can do - its just part & parcel of the game. Since...

    Eric Dier

Sorry I was referring to the 38th minute clip you had shown in the earlier post. Personally I think Romero is too deep and played the wing back on.

    Eric Dier

Dier observations are valid but I would say this doesn't happen at source if Romero isnt a yard behind everyone else. If he'd squeezed up the LWB is offside or has to check his run and doesn't get in behind. So many moving parts to a defence and lots of little faults can result in goals/chances.

    Cristian Romero

An advantage of being that aggressive means we win the ball earlier, which gives the midfielders more space to work since the opposition are not set in a defensive block. It happened several times yesterday and was one of the reasons we were a lot more fluid. We have to take risks in order to...

    Dele Alli

I worry that he doesn't do enough in the #10 role either. I think we have to give the 4-3-3 a go with Hojbjerg deepest and Lo Celso/Ndombele either side - still not convinced that will work... or we go to 4-2-3-1 and pick one of them as a deep CM alongside Hojbjerg. Then we have Son / Dele / 1...

    Dele Alli

I think we'd have gotten a lot more out of Dele yesterday if he and Lo Celso had switched places. Lo Celso doesn't assist or score goals so I find it mind boggling that he's playing as part of a front 3. Dele does when he's high up. The front 3 were there to press the centre-backs he doesn't...

    Harry Kane MBE

Echo these thoughts 100% I would absolutely keep him another 12 months. And I would be instructing Paratici to plan for life after Kane next summer. Barring some sort of remarkable reconciliation, which I just can't see happening, I would ship him out next year. The ideal scenario being we...

    Harry Kane MBE

Got to say Levy has played a blinder here. It was open civil war against him/ENIC at the end of last season. The Kane brothers have between them managed to unite the Spurs fans in Levy's corner. Media silence when Kane went on un-approved extended leave was a masterstroke. It was effectively...

Henderson was probably the right sub had Southgate reacted before Italy scored. Matching Walker up directly with Chiesa was the right play and it nullified him until he went off injured. 4-3-3 - an extra man in midfield to thicken things up, then bring off Mount 5-10 mins later for Sancho...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

Ultimately making that many bad decisions in a row is going to reflect badly on the club no matter who is in charge of PR. Not sure how he can "control" rampant speculation. The leaks were clearly coming from Paratici to his Italian journos. Paratici reports to the chairman, not to Felstein...

    Daniel Levy - Chairman

If he's been pushed it smacks of Levy once again making someone else the fall guy for his own mistakes. Pretty sure Felstein didn't appoint Mourinho, furlough staff, sign up to the ESL, or leak our managerial targets to the press before we ended up with our 5th choice 70 days later. Any bad PR...

    Next Manager?

It didn't have to be this way. This is all down to Levy and his gross mis-management of squad turnover and managerial appointments. Most expensive tickets in the league, shiny new stadium and now the message is that we're going for a long-term rebuild - don't expect too much too soon. A...

    Harry Kane MBE

These are fair comments about what he's observed. If there are players phoning it I'm surprised that 4 or 5 of the top pro's didn't round on them and set them straight. They'd be pinned up against the wall in the old days to remind them of their responsibility. Part of me thinks that was needed...

    Harry Kane MBE

Maybe, but the chairman has been indecisive all along. Not going all in to get Mourinho what he wants and bombing out the wasters in the squad. And not taking the other option of bombing out Mourinho in Jan/Feb when results & morale tanked. He really should've been paying for his own flight...

    Harry Kane MBE

And another thing - if Levy knew this situation was brewing why did he wait so long before swinging the axe on Mourinho? Hung on until all hope of top 4 was lost. Absolute shambles while down the road Chelsea make the change early and get the results.

    Harry Kane MBE

One thing to note here. He asked to leave last summer? So within 12 months of being in a CL final he decides the club is brick and its time to move on? I totally understand his pov this season. We've been treading water at best for 2 years. But last year *could* have been simply a bad year...

    Tanguy Ndombele

Whilst this is true - would you not expect more over the last 2 seasons given the vast amount of money we spent on him? I thought we were getting somewhere up to around February. Since then his form has fallen off a cliff and he was literally walking around against Southampton. I am losing...

    Giovani Lo Celso

Lo Celso and Ndombele have now had 2 seasons to prove their worth in midfield. Whilst both have shown flashes I don't think they have had the impact we'd hoped for. Before they arrived their underlying stats suggested they would be a major upgrade in central midfield after we'd gotten away with...
