*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Eintracht Frankfurt **

I think one of the three has to stay wide though - I'm not sure it is all down to form. It's a huge contrast from the end of last season to the start of this. I think the arrival of Richarlison has been a factor and it's not solely down to form per se.

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Eintracht Frankfurt **

I have a theory (no Anne Elk comments please). Playing three up top may mean fewer goals rather than more with our line up. With just Son/Kane, Kane drops deep and he only has one person to pass to (usually). Son gets more chances and also has more freedom in terms of the space he occupies. But...

When's Maddison been available cheap? Surely that's a huge assumption He was injured or coming back from injury and out of form at the time - I don't remember exactly when, I think towards end of 2021 season. Of course 'cheap' is a relative term and there's no guarantee he would have wanted to...

I agree. I've suggested Maddison before on here, but the general consensus seemed to be that he was unsuitable for a variety of reasons. He was cheap at the time too.

Kulu holds his position and holds the ball up well.

I think I'd rather have a #10 in behind Son/Kane adding to both midfield and up front, than three forwards strung across the pitch (although in theory it enables us to press higher). Maybe Richarlison could play in behind, although he is not very disciplined positionally.

*** OMT Spurs vs West London Defence League

Seem to have lost shape. Not sure how Richarlison is going to turn out. I know it's early days but he seems quite indisciplined positionally.

Needed more talking at the back there. Dier had go left rather then to the man in front of him.

We are far too predictable playing the ball out up the flanks. We need to mix it up, go long and win the second ball off of Kane or Kulu.

    ***OMT: Mighty Spurs vs Manure***

Although Bentancur was at fault for a couple of the goals - one more directly than the other - I think he will learn a lot from tonight, and has the making of a very good midfielder. His tackling style is to get close, niggle, and try and nick the ball, but he needs to learn when not be so keen...

    Joe Rodon

What a game to come back to if he does. I just hope he doesn't get injured as it's going to be hard work. We really lack a leader at the back to take charge and organise.

    Joe Rodon

Although I think they have also played in a back four a few times - but it was more in the hope that there might be some understanding and communication, because we really lack it at the moment.

    Davinson Sanchez

Just quick then. Bring him on up front, as a very late sub in cup games .

    Joe Rodon

What about Davies and Rodon in the middle. It's not ideal but at least they play in the same defence for Wales and can communicate with each other. Currently our defence seems to be composed of individuals who are unable to communicate with each other or organise. And Reguilion and Sessegnon as...

    Cristian Romero

I reckon he'd make a decent defensive midfielder. I've noticed he likes drifting forward, carries the ball well, and can spot a pass. Whereas maybe not defensively minded enough to make the kind of CB I think we need. Mind you I also think Kane might be better behind the striker playing a bit...

    Davinson Sanchez

Sanchez is strong and quick and that is about it. Hopeless positionally, terrible touch, poor decision making, suspect under pressure, and not obviously much of an organiser. But good at throwing his hands up in the air when things go wrong. I did think maybe he might make a wing back - but...
