    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

I can see that from a supply/demand angle, and knowing Levy with his economics background he might will think like that. But I disagree with that analysis, because I would rather have the huge PR bonus of a record breaking sell out, than make what an extra £20k in revenue by 'shaving the...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Fair enough GL, for me if we only got 60-70k for Chelsea it would be a PR 'own goal' and would indicate the club have got its pricing policies wrong. Also, we would have missed a marvellous PR opportunity to open the season with a record-breaking event that would have sent great news about...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Yep GL, good points. So given the club knew this, then why put prices relatively high for a 90k stadium? Prices needed to have been lower, unless of course we do sell out for Chelsea, which is looking decidedly iffy.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Well a quick check on Google and the first two sites I went to, the cheapest is £75 so the mark up is huge. So, I stick by my original point that the CRN requirement is costing a lot of tourist sales, because you can get tickets way cheaper through the official site. Of course as the date...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Good point Ricky, but surely then the price is higher for a tourist because they have to pay the mark up fee for buying from a tout/agency. Depends on what the mark up is I guess. I'll check around google to see if tickets are being sold. Surely there should be tourist interest in Spurs Chelsea...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Still no green to be seen :D I think some tickets are being held back so as to fill up parts of blocks in the upper tier before releasing more. I'm hoping though the dreaded green won't return when the tickets are released. My guess is we've sold about 73k now, so the Prem record is definitely...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Yep, that's what I'm seeing, but as Jordinho has alluded to, I wonder if all the seats are released yet? So hard to call how many we have sold so far, I think i'll stick with 'about 72k' ATM, tomorrow can tell us more I hope.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Yep, but this was obviously before the Prem, so according to Sky it never happened:) If we can break the Prem record v Chelsea, maybe, just maybe Sky will be interested. Maybe we'll even get a 'Spurs commentator' if we break United's record.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Well I just checked again, and I can't see any green :D Maybe it depends on what view you have, but I think the 'buy seats' view is the best one. I hope so, because otherwise a massive PR 'own goal' is on the cards.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

All the green has gone now which is excellent news :D Well done to all the fans buying the tickets. I think we have probably sold abut 72k tickets now, so we're well on course to have our highest ever league and indeed domestic attendance ever for a home game, so that's a PR win in itself...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Looking at the site today, nearly all the green has gone, but still plenty of availability. My guess is around 70,000 has been sold, that's a long way from the 86k+ needed for capacity. I live abroad so won't be going to this game, but the site allowed me to put two tickets in the basket. So I...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

It was last season :) I guess you mean the league though rather than CL Still, regardless we broke the all-time English home attendance record twice last season with low pricing

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Unfortunately, I think it's too late to change the prices for Prem games now, though I would love it if we did. I don't think we'd need one pound tickets, but a 'tenner tier' with concessions £5, for say the 'worst 5000 seats' would have been a winner. Just have to hope there is the 'usual...

Sure hope you're right SOTM. I think by this time tomorrow when it has gone to GS, we'll be in a lot better position to guess what's going to happen.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

As I say, I can live with what other fans say. But it would have been great PR to have sold 86k for the Chelsea game and have broken the all-time record for an English club home attendance (Currently held by us, but for a CL game) It would have made big news I think, especially if we won. I...

    The Youth Players/On-Loan Thread 2017/18

Cheers JM. Georgiou is 'old' for a youth, about 20 i think. I suspect this season could make or break his career at Spurs. Of course, I don't think he should start v Juve, we should start with as close to the team v Toon as possible. But in the second half I think it would be good to see him.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Good comments Jordinho. For me, it's better to see the ground full and if necessary lose out a little on overall revenue. I can live with oppo fans laughing at us if we fail to sell out v Chelsea, but I'd rather not hear the jokes and jibes. Especially as after we sold all our STs various fans...

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Good points SOTM. It's going to be very interesting how the club balance the need to sell the thousands of empty seats v doing their best to ensure there's no trouble at the game. For me the club set the prices too high this season, now coupled with the lack of new signings, have left us facing...

I hope Georgiou gets a chance v Juve. he looked to have the pace we will need at Wembley.

    Fixture & Ticket News 2017/18

Does anyone have an up to date screen shot of how the tickets are going for Chelsea. I wonder if there will be restrictions on general sale tomorrow and if so what? Seems the club has a problem here. We could sell out for sure if it's unrestricted, but restrictions will presumably put off...
