Robbie Keane

Brilliant player.... Always think he was massively underrated by Spurs fans. A player as good as him in our team now would would make us massively better.
I thought he was well thought of by Spurs fans. For his first spell anyway.
Never the same player when he came back. There’s something to be said for having credit in the bank at a club, both with fans and managers. Even when he wasn’t having a great game he’d be kept on and repaid this faith by popping up with a goal.
I was surprised to hear he wasn’t anything other than revered in Ireland from @DeanoAustin he seemed be nothing other than a talisman who delivered even towards the end of his career and my best Irish friend seemed to win a lot of cash backing him to score!!!

I'm staunchly pro-Palestine, but this sort of thing just muddies the issue so much, and pushes the extremes further apart. He took a job in the country. He's no more directly responsible for the slaughter of innocent than the people of Israel, Palestine or any other country who have to pay for the actions of their leaders.

No one does moral outrage like Celtic fans, even Liverpool are amateurs in comparison.

He was appointed in June 2023, before the October 7 attack and Israel's response. If he'd taken the job after the scale of Israel's retaliation was known the criticism might have more merit. He did leave at the end of the season.

Nothing changes in the Catholic faith, we were all told at school it was the Jews who wanted Christ crucified, Pilate washed his hands of it.
That may have been taught before but it's not the teachings of the faith now. Like every religion though there are still lots of people who follow whatever suits them.
