Championship 2026/27 - Teambuilding

We are going to need a full squad of first team players e.g Oxford United have a squad of 33, Bristol C 27 , Norwich 36, those figures may include loans .

Don't know who does the contract stuff now , think it used to be Rebecca Caplehorn but the following all have contracts until 2030/31

Radu, Danso, Udogie, Sarr, Simons, & Solanke all 2030, Souza, Bergvall, Kudus and Tel all 2031 so can we bank on them all staying ? unless someone comes up with big offers.

When it was reported that we had a clause in the contracts, Simon Jordan and Danny Murphy rubbished the idea that a club like Tottenham would have a relegation clause in their contract. I've no clue either way but Jordan used to own a club and Murphy played at that level so I'd assume they know what they are talking about.

This is why trying to predict what we'll do next season is impossible. There are too many variables in the equation. Aside from the unknowns (like relegation clauses) there is no precedent for a club of our financial size going down.

Yep. Football league PSR administrators will still be going through our financial statements in 2028 - they'll have never had to deal with anything like it. Think we have several separate operations companies.

I don't particularly trust AI just thought I would have a look and see what it said , think AI just scans rumours and internet stories and just comes up with what it finds. Ten of our squad still have 4 & 5 years on their contracts so that comes into the equation.
On previous evidence players will leave a sinking ship , Maddison etc.

I'd hope the like if Maddison and Kulu feel like they owe us after missing the full season. Of course they might be only interested in what's best for them and push to leave.

Exactly that, AI just uses algoithms to pull whatever it can find from open source data and summarises it. Player contracts are highly sensitive and they tend to only be leaked to press due to motivations of agents ("I'll just put it out there to my journo friends that my client may have a release clause of X")

I think Madders will stay. he's built a connection to the fans and club. Kulu if he proves his fitness would not wanna waste a year down there.

A lot of the players also have to realise that apart from VdV there won't be clubs bigger than Tottenham coming in for them. this is their apex

VdV is nowhere near the quality a bigger club would be looking for. If we do get a decent offer from a bigger/any club we should take it.

It'll be the younger players (Gray etc) that will potentially develop into players that bigger clubs would want, not this current bunch.

Lenders do not take a hands on role like that (unless there has been any sign of crystalised credit risk or they perceive a significant risk of losses). Until such time as THFC show signs of being unable to manage themselves financially the lenders won't be saying anything. Its the stadium they have financed, not the players. The fixed charge at companies house relates to assets held by Stadium Co. While there is a floating charge over securities of both Stad Co. and Football & Athletic Co. this only gives rights to decision making in event of a default that resulted in Bank of America taking ownership of the vote-carrying shares

Was thinking more of when Maddison left Leicester after relegation not that he will leave us. When Hammers got relegated back in 2003 Kanoute joined us and think same summer Joe Cole left them for Chelsea , pretty sure we will need to get some players of the wage bill and let Devine, Lankshear etc come in to take their places.

Give RDZ a season full of youth, tinkle and vinegar and we'd come back so much stronger than we currently are.

Not going to happen, I know, but I could genuinely get behind this more than the team full of "Carlos Kickaballs" we currently have.
