Pretty much what I hoped for realistically. Very proud of that performance. Good to see Bergvall and Udogie back. Thought Bergvall was particularly good for a cameo.

All credit to Tudor. I was ready to throw rotten fruit at him last Tuesday and drive him back to Croatia. There are signs I was wrong as I was about BMJ, Harry and Poch. Let’s hope we carry this into Sunday and beyond.

And we had plenty of openings we didn't quite convert. Good defending from them, and not as smart as we needed to be. But considering this patched up side, it was heartening.

Chuffed with that performance. On to almost every second ball first, a zip and invention in a lot of the passing.
Take away the two goals caused by their brick pitch and we take it to extra time minimum.
I said a while ago I thought Archie Gray was a future captain, I'd make him captain now, superb tonight.

One of the things I noticed a lot in that match was our quick transitions, especially throw-ins. Mourinho would have been proud.

I think some fans have needed reminding that even with all our injuries, we have some good players. The idea that with our teams ability we should be flirting with relegation and fault doesn't lie at the managers door is nonsense, we are much better than we have shown this season.

Probably the best result for us realistically - a win, a good performance, and can now focus on the league which is of the utmost importance. Good vibes at the stadium, onwards and upwards...

I’ll take that 7 days of the week, that was just about what I hoped for with my realistic thinking-cap on. We showed fight, spirit and some decent football as well.
And with a bit rub of the green this could’ve ended up alongside the Ajax-game. In the current situation we don’t get any more luck than we create ourselves, so I think this was the best outcome. Our decimated squad showed we can play, and we can beat a good European side.

If this level of performance is achieved again this weekend we’re in a much stronger position come Monday.

I really hope people get off Simons case aswell. He’s not perfect. He’s learning. We have to embrace these players.
