***Tottenham Hotspur v Everton*** - OMT

Will take that at HT. Sadly due to past traumas with supporting Tottenham for donkeys years, still not confident we can secure all 3 points at the moment

Awful game we seem to go backwards all the time. Credit to Mickey though absolute beast he is. Not seen enough of Xavi who just looks scared. Johnson? Well hoping he turns up with a tap in as Everton chase the game and leave some space

It wasn’t great to be honest but you can’t argue with a 2-0 lead. It’s a sign of how the game is going how we’ve done it. Lots of long balls, little attacking quality and two set pieces. On the plus side, we’re developing a nasty streak which you can see with some of our antics and time wasting.

VdV gets the plaudits with two goals and a solid performance. Most of our players have been decent albeit Xavi wasted an opportunity or two to do something from open play.

More interesting was the formation, and some signs of improved play. Away from home on a cold night, I'll take it!

Frank should lay down the gauntlet to the team to score from open play second half. They are still lacking confidence and familiarity.

Listening to the game on the Eurostar on the way to Bruges. Lose coverage every time we go through a tunnel. It’s not quite as frustrating as actually being there for the second half last week against Villa, but it’s f ucking close. 😃

Watched this the other day. Have a blast!

For me a significantly improved performance. We're actually playing with some risk and purpose on the ball in central areas. Struggling to create chances outside of set pieces, but getting into good areas and less predictable.

Two great set piece goals. A bit fortunate to be two up. But vulnerable to those direct balls. But overall good.

Everton fans are super whingy.
