Transfer thread

Hard to judge a player that has played for this United team, but from what I've seen from him: hell no.
I'm not saying I'd go for it necessarily, but it depends on whether it is a case of failure to step up in the game or potential not yet realised.

It's only the Dansk connection that got me wondering!

I honestly thought it was Hjulmand you was on about, the CM
Hojlund was a real prospect at Atlanta and I wanted him then. United have really burned him and he needs a move so where he can build his confidence back

Has a bit about him, good pace, movement and can finish. For £30m in today's market it wouldn't be a bad punt, unless of course we have someone else lined up.

Not for me. This is the quality vs quantity argument. I think there will always be these types of players out there. I always ask myself whether the top sides would buy them and normally come to the conclusion that they wouldn't. I think our club is a different place than previously and can probably swerve these risks.

I could see a team like Leipzig or Dortmund coming in for him for £30M.

We need a better striker than Solanke not someone who is currently worse and doesn't necessarily look like he will ever be better than the Solanke level. He's very much a prospect but when you watch him play he doesn't really have a natural scorer's instinct. If we had say someone like Kane than Holijund wouldn't be a terrible prospect to bring in, but in our current scenario he's a no imo.

Yeah, hard to say. You can't be a bad footballer if you've played for United and Atalanta, but he hasn't exactly set the PL even a little bit on fire. Could very well be down to playing for a brick side, of course. Maybe Frank could indeed get a sound out of him. Wouldn't exactly be my first choice though.

That’s why I count my lucky stars that you are no where near the transfer activity
Come on, Grealish is terrible. He's been on a 4 year bender and hasn't been able to beat a man for a long time. All his cameos now are stepovers then pass backwards, that's all he can do now

And even then he would be better than having Dele back … and no doubt disagree he was putting up numbers during the treble season and has not really featured since that season.

Get a grip

He is right though, Grealish hasn't beaten a man 1 on 1 for about 2 years now. I like him and hope he goes somewhere where the manager can get him playing without that Pep fear again though.

Too expensive and risky for me though
