    Xavi Simons

A ruptured ACL is better (oddly), you know where you are. A partial tear (a full tear is a rupture) will open up options of managing it and specific muscle exercises to support and stabilise the knee. I think from the Maddison videos it sounded like he had this problem (a partial tear)the...

    25/26 Injury and illness thread

Yes I'm talking about people doing very little physically but ending up with bad backs, necks, shoulders, wrists etc. If you don't believe mental stress, pressure etc can manifest as real physical pain and injury, so be it.

There's a whole world of office workers that would beg to differ.

Let's just say mental stress can cause injury even when you put zero, or near minimal, physical stress on muscles, tendons and ligaments. I think we can a agree that? So if it has the ability to do that, it's a genuine factor in the equation.

The Overlap - some interesting comments from Ange

Think your calendar is on the blink. Plenty of gaps between the training ground, the Sainsburys/school and the stadium. The hotel and flats haven't even been started yet.

    Xavi Simons

I don't think he was changing direction or pivoting....just slowing down rapidly. Unless some contact with the Wolves player unbalanced him. Not watched it back tbh

*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

Why haven't City a fixture this midweek. They are struggling to find dates for their games. Their next game v Everton has already been pushed out to Monday 4th. Could play in Thursday or Friday if worried about CL games.

Ah you're right....trust our game v Leeds to already be moved. You'd rather play a team in the run up to a final.....only positive is they might play extra time (there is extra time, isn't there?) ..and we get a good amount of prep time.
