    Football and money

I suppose a mitigating factor is they will only pay the wages for the duration of the loan. As wages are paid for the whole year, this is effectively a discount on wages while active.

    Cheatski are still scum

Iirc, the CPO voted in favour of the Abramovich proposal, but without the necessary super-majority. I'd expect them to support it. Presumably they get a cut of any property build on the old Stamford Bridge.

The Official 2024/25 Premier League Thread

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

The Glazers are still the majority owners. They can't believe their luck in attracting someone willing to pay big money to draw attention away from them. They'd have even worse coverage sacking low paid employees, cutting free staff lunches, reducing Christmas bonuses, and cancelling donations...

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

All the mocking of clubs sacking their managers. United didn't work that way because they were a different class. It's true they gave Ferguson time, but that was a different era and followed years of trying to replace Busby. United have built their success on two incredible managers who were...

Circus ManUnitus - Nobody's At The Wheel

A bonus is a gesture so having one makes a statement, even if it is only a token one. The £100 might have been set years ago. However, cutting it and replacing it with a voucher such an obvious PR mistake. Radcliffe looks like he wants to surpass Mike Ashley in the successful businessmen who...

    Rodrigo Bentancur

I understand why he gets that suspension, but it's odd that something said on international duty punishes his club team-mates, including the victim of the slur.

    What would Jenas do?

    The plan was working.

    What would Jenas do?

A straight sacking? No pay for an extra year with an increase while they investigate and he recovers from mental health issues.

John Terry probably put in a good word for him.

    Cheatski are still scum

Hopefully a transfer ban would require them to appoint Lampard as manager. like last time.
