Luka Vuskovic

Letting him play 90 mins every game, get tested, develop his game.

We should fudging triple his salary and extend his contract and let him stay out another year. Kid has got the potential to be elite, he doesn't need to play 9 games behind Romero/VDV/Danso.

At the end of next season, he will be 20 and we can bring him home and put him in starting lineup

Don’t see why he won’t be head of Danso from day one of pre season and be in a position to be starting games. Especially if we adopt a back 3.

I think (someone may correct me) that there was an article where he had said he didn’t yet feel ready for the Prem.

I think he will benefit hugely from consistently in terms of environment and minutes at this point. Happily I don’t think we can lose either way here (well, as long as we aren’t kicking off in the Championship next season).

100% right move to keep him there

Yep agreed. I would think both Romero and VDV are here thru next season. But after that, I'm less sure...

As usual, Vuskovic was pretty much man of the match.
As usual, tried one beautiful overhead kick.
Locked up Kane really well, apart from when, as usual, Kane scored.
On a breakaway he played a beautiful 50 yard through ball from the right with reverse swazz, perfectly into the run of the striker.
Won loads of headers, made loads of tackles.
Plays with authority, this is a manchild who tells everyone else what to do and holds his arms out to define where the line is.
The closest thing to Romero you will see i.e. dominates at the back, then sometimes wanders up front and decides to score... and 5 seconds later he scores. Makes it look so easy to just wander up and bosh a header in.

We have to bring him back for a full pre season then i think he will get loads of game time playing in a back 3 or filling in anywhere in defense . The kid looks like he can do it all.
This is assuming we are still in the PL of course.

Personally, I don't like the idea of him spending a second year in the Bundesliga at the same club. It's not a great league from a football standard and I don't want him getting too used to that level. Perhaps he needs to find the equivalent of a Burnley or Wolves and have a good old scrap to stay up in the PL. If he excels in that environment then he'll be primed for success with us. I'm actually enjoying the hard yards that Ash Phillips is doing. I have a feeling he'll always be a PL player but perhaps not a top end defender.

He ain't ever going to play for us is he?

Another year in Germany and then there will be a mega offer from one of the big boys and we will take the cash and run.

lol - you looking forward to Kane's homecoming as a 34 year old at the end of next season when Vuskovic joins BM? Straight swap with Kane on £300k per week :tearsofjoy:

Looks a real gem. We should extend his contract to 2034 or something, hold on to him until he's 23 and hope we miraculously manage to build a proper team by then.

I think both Bergvall, Gray and to some extent Sarr, Odobert and Tel have great potential. The likes of Xavi, Udogie, Kulu and VDV could - should, really - develop into good senior players. That's the foundation of a good team, if most of them reach their potential.

So there is hope. But I can see Luka end up at one of the rich clubs one day - hopefully in Spain rather than the PL.
