With Bergvall & Bentancur both injured we do need numbers.
Gallagher has performed at a higher level, more consistently, than both in the PL

Yeah, he's exactly the wrong type of CM. Bergvall and Sarr are a lot like him, and better. Gray probably prefers that role more at the moment now too.
I think restoring Biss instead would give us much more quality and better flexibility across the roles

Ange's first 10 game spell, and the EL run, he was our outstanding player. If we can get a final run like that out of him, it will be better than any desperate loan signing we try and make.

Great move for him and Villa, smart.
If we were to move on a couple of players he is better than, then it would have been a good move to increase quality of depth here and bring energy in. Alas its not to be
In context of Bentancur being injured, he would have been a decent addition.
Reality? Chelsea boy, he's not really what we need, Villa a better option for him at this point either way.
The bigger concern is doesn't seem like we have anyone else really lined up (and Gallagher, Neves, Gomes, Paqueta are players everyone knew 2 months ago that would be likely available)
