*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Leicester City ***

First question to Van Nistelrooy in his post-match interview was about “the terrible run of form” Leicester have been on. He answered it thoughtfully and politely and the world moved on.

It’s almost as if it’s not that difficult.
You mean he got asked the question right after they had won a game? Bit easier to answer when you're on a high of winning for a change...

I am always amused when Spurs fans make armchair diagnosis (or even from their seat in the stadium). Maybe Ange has more information to work with than you i.e. According to Ange Richarlison was feeling his groin.
Maybe. Or maybe not: he himself said that Richi should’ve gone off at HT. with such an attitude towards injuries it’s no surprise we are so riddled with them. If he’d hooked an injured player at HT (and a goal up) the response would’ve been disappointment, not disgust. Whatever, my point was that ‘I was unaware’ that Richi was supposedly injured and therefore mystified as to why he came off. Doesn’t excuse Ange’s other glaring shortcomings today though. Yet again Spurs plumbs a new low.

Whoever we bring in still has to play pretty much teh same players as we did today

It’s like giving a carpenter a screw driver and a hammer and say make me a chair

I agree to an extent but again, Ange complains about a injured CM playing, whilst playing a CM as CB and a LCB at LB and leaves a LB on the bench.

I think he is starting to lose the plot, given his ranting about not having 2 fit CBs last week and playing a back 3

The Athletic article earlier in the week should have spelled out to everyone the blatant disregard the manager has for players well being.

And now west ham look like they are gonna get a point at villa....another bricky weekend. Thanks Spurs

The team we had out today is not the problem. It's better than what most clubs can put out.

I think that’s not fully fair. Only Porro and Bentancur first choice players in defence and midfield!

I think Ange should go too, but we can balanced. Not having Romero, VDV, Vicario (who might have saved both of today’s goals), and Bentancur for large stretches would be hard for any manager.

I am amazed we haven’t strengthened midfield. Bissouma plays like a youth player 1 in 10 matches. Which leaves just Bentancur as a senior midfielder. Bergvall has moments of skill and moments where he’s off it. He lost possession today put us under pressure in the lead up to their goal.

You only have to look at City and Rodri’s injury to see that even the best manager of modern times is affected by injuries to key players.

I feel a bit numb (or more accurately not bothered). Even though I’ve been a hard Ange in until now.

I would still be a bit gutted if he went but I think the timing is now important so I’m more apathetic. League points needed and still in 3 cups which could improve with a bounce (still need bodies).

Be surprised if he’s sacked though unless the club have a plan/the right person lined up.

Oh it will get worse mate. Sack him or not, we are on our way down, its about time we got relegated and it is what every other non spurs fan wants.

Even the goons will want us down and wont miss the derbies.

We are an embarrassment to premier league football and I dont even understand what type of club we are. We dont win anything, we dont get relegated, we dont beat any of our so called rivals. We are just a pathetic excuse for a football club and maybe relegation is what we need, so we can keep on going down the football pyramid and go into extinction.

The die hard fans will say I am pathetic, and I wouldnt argue against, but if you dont think we are one of the most pointless football clubs in England then you have to be rose tinted and bury your head in the sand on most things in life.

So not only did he risk long term injury with Sarr he did so with Richi, a player with a pretty poor injury record and just back from one, he had options on the bench not to do this.

This is one game, how many other times has a players health been risked?

Okay all you armchair experts, here's my solution. I say sack the manager immediately and put all of you collectively in charge instead.

You can then all form one big brilliantly informed management committee and get cracking straight away.

You will solve all our problems at a stroke!. We would then be guaranteed to win every single game from now on, meaning we will finish up top six with 69 points in the PL whilst also winning the Carabao Cup, the FA Cup and best of all the Europa League, thus qualifying for next season's Champions League,

What's not to like? :tongueout::tongueout::tongueout:

I’m not excusing him
But I don’t see how a new magics up some players
Said in the match thread you could see Sarr was injured
As soon as Richy went off I said it was an injury
He is so fudged and some is his own making
But the lack of depth is the key issue and it ain’t getting fixed

There was nothing wrong with that interviewer last week though, he asked him a question that related to what we are all seeing, he wasn't trying to trip him up
I agree but had Ange won today and been asked that question I don't doubt his response would have been different....

Couldn’t be any worse than it already is

And for the record, I am feeling very down. The loss was very demoralising. I dont know how Ange feels but for someone who is actually managing the team - I dont know what support system he has. I am presently in the process of gaming real hard while drinking a lot of water and eating some grilled meat while looking angrily at pictures of the Spurs squad. C'est la vie. COYS!

How do people not see this!?

I thought the framing of the question last week was poor. We’d beaten Liverpool 2 games previous.

At worst we would lose every game so no worse than currently - worth a shot
