Tottenham's teenage winger John Bostock has extended his loan spell with Brentford for a second month.

The former Crystal Palace youngster has made seven appearances since joining the Bees in November.

He created the right impression with the Griffin Park fans with two goals on his debut in a 2-2 draw with Millwall.

Bostock's initial month-long spell came to an end after Saturday's goalless draw with Leeds but he will now stay on until 16th January.

‘A Star in the Making’ – Spurs’ Ryan Mason

    ryan_mason_fayc240a

Spurs are one of those sides where it is not easy for youth to break into the first team. Unlike other clubs, a youngster will only break into the Tottenham first team if they have exceptional ability. It is a feat that has been achieved by Jamie O’Hara and in the past and there are several youth players aspiring to break ’s side at . is one of these players.

Mason joined Spurs academy in June 2007 at the age of 16, signing his first professional contract a year later. Now an England Youth international, Mason broke into the Spurs Under 18’s at the age of 16. He can play in either an attacking midfield or forward role and has a prolific goal scoring record with the academy side, scoring 29 goals in 31 games in the 2008-09 season helping Spurs to a 2nd place finish in the Premier Academy League.

In the same season Mason stepped up to the reserves and hit 3 goals in 5 games continuing his impressive scoring record. He made his debut for the first team in the UEFA Cup tie with NEC Nigmegan and earned himself a place in the squad for both legs of the last 32 tie with eventual winners Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mason has this season been sent out on loan to gain experience, something that will be key if he is to ever break into Redknapp’s first team. He has joined fellow team mate on loan at League One club Yeovil Town and after an impressive start his loan has been extended until the end of the current season. Mason has already scored 4 goals in 18 appearances for the side, including a free kick and a stunning long-range strike. He is impressing down at and is no doubt gaining valuable experience that will benefit his future career.

It’s no easy feat for a youngster to break into the first team at but you have believe with the promise Mason has that he will have a chance in the future. An eye for goal is a natural ability that he undoubtedly possesses and if he uses all the experience he will gain in League One then he will definitely be one to watch.

Jamie O Hara is again The Sun star man.

It always used to irritate me when ignorant posters went on about how he was "game" and a "tryer."

This guy's passes from open and set play are as good as Beckham's when he started out.  OK he makes Beckham even at 33 look speedy but there has to be something we can do with him at Spurs rather than sell him.

    Hasn't there?

Well, if he is SUN STAR MAN then he has to be good right? Big Smile

(Not having a pop at Afan, just commenting on the Sun's erratic ratings)

I like Jamie and think he is/will go on to be a good player, I agree that we should be able to do something with him, but where and how? I cant see who we move out or around to find a starting place for Jamie each week (which is what he wants, and why he is so happy at Pompey)

He will definately be a PL regular in his career, just cant see how it will be with us.

Portsmouth may not be able to extend Jamie O'Hara's loan stay from Spurs because of the club's transfer embargo preventing them from bringing in new players.

Spurs set to end Jamie O'Hara's loan spell at Portsmouth

By Matt Barlow Last updated at 1:26 AM on 02nd January 2010

Harry Redknapp is set to cause more problems for Portsmouth by recalling Jamie O'Hara and loaning him to another Barclays Premier League club.

O'Hara's loan deal expires on January 15 and Tottenham have refused permission for him to play against Coventry today to prevent him being cup-tied.

His final game for Pompey will be a week today at Fulham

I can't see the harm in having him back at the club. But will he want to come back?

I was gutted when I found out he could not play against Arsenal-I was really looking forward to watching that game. It could have been a great stage for Jamie.
